“Great spot for a quick stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014 via mobile

This place was very clean, close to everything downtown (within walking distance) and cozy and quaint. The hotel manager and people working the front desk were very friendly. The best part of the level of service was that they let us check in early. A lot of hotels will not even consider it, butthey wee very accommodating. I would recommend this place.

We were supposed to be staying at the Grand Canyon but because of the government shutdown we had to change our plans. We found Highland Country Inn online for a very cheap price and booked it. The room was clean with 2 separate beds, fridge, tv, etc. The Inn also had laundry facilities which was the main reason we picked it because we needed to wash clothes. Unfortunately, our clothes were not as clean as we would have liked them after.. whether the machine needed more washing powder than we thought or not I can't be sure.... but we were able to get by. Very strangely - after leaving 40 degrees heat in LA 2 days earlier - we woke up to snow the next morning!
We didn't get a chance to see anything really in Flagstaff as we drove to Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona - such a beautiful place! Definitely a good subsitute for not making the Grand Canyon!

We just needed a room for one night. We chose this one because it had the most positive reviews regarding cleanliness. It was one of the more inexpensive choices. The room was very clean and quiet. A basic hotel room; an unexpected surprise having a refrigerator and microwave in room. I asked for extra pillows and they were promptly delivered. Very cordial staff. Perfect place to spend a night or 2 and not spend a lot of money.

The only thing I liked there was the cleaning service. The room was cleaning and they were cleaning the room very well and change the sheets every day. I don't liked in the room there wasn't coffe maker and the woindows in that room are very high, just below the roof. It was ver y weird. I am not claustrofobic but I felt like that there.

We were greeted by a curt, unfriendly woman who told us check in was 3 pm (we were there at 1:00), so we wandered off for a few hours. Her attitude almost made us use another hotel. Although the property is somewhat old, it appears to have been refurbished recently. Our room was clean, freshly painted and the furniture appeared to be relatively new. In fact, my husband tore off the plastic coating of the brass wall lamp! Upon opening the door, there was a slight disinfectant smell but that rapidly abated. There were two queen size beds, TV, microwave and refrigerator, but no coffee maker. No breakfast was included but there was coffee and heavenly English breakfast tea in the lobby. The young man who replaced the “wicked witch” was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The house was full that night, more so than any other hotel we stayed in during our two week cross country trip.

A very nice place to stay in Flagstaff, within walking distance of the old, historic downtown, breweries, wine bars, stores, music. Family run and maintained, keeping the facility very clean and well kept. Check in is easy, but reservations may be recommended on busy weekends (Labor Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July). Parking is usually easy, but late arrivals may need to park a little distance away, past the office, on busy weekends. Very comfortable and very nice. Best place to stay in Flagstaff, worth more than the price.

Probably the cleanest hotel I have stayed in! Older motel, but must have been recently remodeled, everything seemed brand new. I would definitely stay her again!! Highly recommend.
It is not a fancy hotel but if you are looking for a clean room, this is the place. Microwaves and refrigerators in room.
