We spent three days in Flagstaff and, our first night, we drove down Route 66 to find a place to eat. We stumbled across Fat Olives and noticed that the parking lot was packed. Taking that as a sign, we decided to take our two kids there that night for dinner. We were more than pleased with our choice. We went later in the evening but still had a short wait for a table. The staff was immediately friendly and talkative. We skipped the appetizers and went straight to the main course, with my partner ordering the sausage pizza and the kids a meatball pizza each. I had the lasagna. We were all impressed. The quality of the ingredients and the care in preparation was obvious, and the results were delicious. The kids had a "s'mores" pizza for dessert, and we shared the chocolate mousse. The dessert pizza was excellent, but the mousse was rather thick, not light and fluffy as you might expect. Overall, however, we were very pleased with the result, and would happily go back or recommend it to others.
