“Worth the wait for both food and beers!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2011

Four of us waited about 30 minutes (same as last yr) to be seated. Beer orders taken promptly and served promptly. They do charge to sample a coupla ounces ($0.75 ea). I think their crisp, lovely IPA isn't the best IPA I've ever tasted, but as a big IPA fan, this one wouldn't often be outdone! Their stout--yummy!

Corn chowder appetizer, hints of spice (mebbe chipotle or cayenne?), creamy, and chock full of corn and potato.

Breads--oh, my, we could have made a meal from just the bread-basket, both the beer bread and the chiabbata were spiced and warm and wonderful.

Southwest chicken pizzas--zesty, hot, terrific.

Dessert sampler was lauded by all, with peach cobbler, gingerbread with hard sauce, and chocolate-bread-pudding.

This was our second visit, and we'll come back again if the gang is hiking in the region again!

“Failing fast”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2011

Beaver Street Brewery 2 years ago was considered a top place to eat but now has a lot of competition and is also falling down on food quality and service. A visit one Tuesday evening revealed a friendly college girl as our server who was not attentive, seemed confused by our requests, and after several complaints by us, wasn't knowledgeable enough to seek further help. My appetizer of southwest salmon cakes was tasty but rather dry. Fine for an average brew pub. My brother ordered the salmon salad. For $12.99 he got a salad that contained numerous ribs of lettuce rather than leaves, no grilled zucchini, and a piece of dry salmon about the size of an index finger. First he inquired if this was the standard size of salmon serving. Compared to the amount of lettuce ribs, this was a unacceptably small serving. The waitress was "well, sure." OK. A few more bites into the salad, it was obvious there was no grilled zucchini. After finally flagging down the waitress again, in a not very busy restaurant, she was mystified again & then finally offered to get some grilled zucchini. What she brought back was a plate of slimy, non-grilled zuke ribbons. Neither of us had ever seen anything like it. They were nauseating. We gave up at that point. The only bright point was the red beer, excellent as usual. I was very embarrassed to have taken a guest to this restaurant. It will be a long time before I try it again. Flagstaff has too many excellent and reasonably priced places to eat with much better service.

“Fun place to hang out, decent food...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2011

My husband and I go to Flagstaff once a year to stay at a B&B. We love walking around the town area because there are so many cute shops and restaurants. We always hit up the Beaver Street Brewery because it's a lively place with friendly customer service. It's always busy! The food is decent, typical pub food, but we definitely go here more for the atmosphere. The pizzas are pretty tasty. My husband loves the Bramble Berry beer and I like the IPA. Right next door, they have a Billiard Room that is just for bar patrons and we like to stop in there after our meal.

“Still the best spot in Flag for dinner and brewskies”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2011

Been eating / drinking there for 15 years. Beer continues to be good - overall the food is good and the atmosphere around the bar is great. Always sit at the bar to eat/drink. Rib eye steak isn't as good as it used to be, but still a yummy meal. Pizzas still look tasty.
