“One-of-a-kind Historic Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Our group of 24 visited this home built by 2 brothers for their wives, who were sisters, early in the last century. Anyone interested in old homes would find this fascinating. The guides were extremely knowledgeable about the homes as well as the history of the town of Flagstaff.

“One of Flagstaff's Highlights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

The Riordan Mansion is a lovely and unusual example of Arts and Crafts architecture in Flagstaff. It is unusual in that the house is composed of two separate wings that were owned by each of the two Riordan brothers and are mirror images of each other joined by a shared common living space. The houses (wings) are furnished largely with original pieces and regular informative tours are offered. The house was designed by Charles Whittlesey who also designed El Tovar Lodge at the Grand Canyon. The history of the family and its place in Flagstaff history is also very interesting. It was one of Flagstaff's highlights for us.

After 4 weeks of National Parks & archaeological sites, the Riordan Mansion was a pleasant change. We had a very good conducted tour.

“If you love history, a must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Two brothers and sisters marry and build one home with two separate living spaces connected by one community room where they would get together on a nightly basis for the children to play together and the adults converse.
