“BEST Happy Hour Ever!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

The beer was COLD, LOCAL, and CHEAP and served with a smile. The "tapas" were unbelievable (especially for the price, $1, $2, etc...). NO COMPLAINTS HERE. I will return.

“Surprising”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

At first, I thought Pita Jungle would be a Subway type place for pita's, but boy was I wrong.

It's a great restaurant that serves very healthy food. The place looks amazing and its very friendly.
You can watch the cooks place food in the fire wood oven, and the smell is one of the best things about the place.

A great place to eat, and it's placed right next to a New Frontiers supermarket, which also sells great healthy food.

“Pita Jungle got too big for its britches!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

I used to go to the original Pita Jungle in Tempe when it was delicious, cheap mediterranean food served by real hippies. Now it's just watered down hipster food in a cool space. I think they should go for more ingredients and think about quality more than quantity. Portions are large, but some are rather tasteless and the service is medium.

“Very fresh food & Good Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2012

Pita Jungle was a happy surprise on our vacation. We arrived about 7:00 on a Thursday.

We had a bunch of appetizers that we treated as tapas and all of them were very fresh and very delicious. The hummus was creamy and fresh with just a bit of lemon and the right amount of garlic; the tabbouleh was light on the bulgar, but again very fresh with lots of parsley; their dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) were tangy and did not fall apart; the spanikopita was flaky, delicious and not too heavy with the cheese; and the broiled chicken salad had a nice amount of chicken and dressing and again was very fresh. The best appetizer was a fusion one with shrimp and tomatoes. It was just delicious, and not to be missed. We also tried the 1000 bean quesadilla (and it didn't seem like an exaggeration), which was tasty and incredibly filling. Their kids meal is ingenious: the child picks one from each category of meat, fruit, veg and starch and thus gets a balanced meal and gets to have choice as well. It was universally liked. Several other of our friends had the philly cheesesteak which was pronounced "delicious!". The server, Jen, was really nice, very helpful, attentive and professional. The manager came by to check on us, too. We were very pleased with the service.

One thing: we all agree that this restaurant needs a new name! "Pita Jungle' sounds like a fast-food name. How about "Mediterranean Mesa"?

“Fresh ,tasty food in nice setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

After driving past many fast food places and greasy spoons on our way to Grand Canyon searched for something better and found it here. Sunny modern large dinning area, enthusiastic group of diners and great food. Many variations of pita sandwiched. Chicken was great. Also lots of salads and other Mediterranean entrees. I had grilled vegetable salad.
