“Good for Arizona, but thats not saying much”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

As my title says, Snowball is good by Arizona standards, but doesn't compare to most other ski/snowboard resorts.

Hello Devon,
We're sorry you didn't have a good experience here at Snowbowl. With 2,300 feet vertical, we have one of the largest vertical feet of any resort in the SW, and are pretty high up for the entire country as well. We also just finished building our largest and best terrain park yet, giving us a new dynamic we've never had before. We hope you come back, and here's a video of our new terrain park (http://youtu.be/x-yfCHGhN5I) and some great skiing (http://www.facebook.com/media/set/set=a.10151161860141583.440993.43716361582&type=3) from a few weeks back to encourage your return!

“Highest point - best views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

We rode the Skyride to view the turning Aspens and got a treat with snow having fallen the night before. We got amazing photos on the ride up, at the top, and on the ride back down. It's a great way to spend a few hours in the mountains. The ride takes 25 minutes each way and is smooth and quiet. Just make sure you are dressed warmly. With the wind chill, it was 14 degrees at the top!! We had lunch afterwards at the lodge and warmed back up with hot cocoa. There was a live jazz band playing on the deck. It was the perfect way to enjoy a fall day.

“dont waste your time”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

this place is so small. it is also over priced. I guess if you live here it would be a place to go, but if you are planning a sky vacation you should go somewhere like Vail. This place was a dissapointment

“The skyride is amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

We rode the ski lift for the first time over the weekend. The $15 per person fee is well worth it. The views are amazing, and it is so quiet on the way up.Plus, at the top, you can use the highest toilet in Arizona, which boasts an elevation of 11,500 feet! Coming from Phoenix, the clouds, cooler temperatures and greenery were a very welcome change. Be aware that the ride makes occasional stops for people getting on and off at the top. The first time it happened, we wondered if we were going to be stuck. Also, keep in mind that the temperatures will drop as you climb in elevation. The ride is open from 10 am - 4 pm Friday thru Sunday. We arrived at about 10:20 am on a Sunday and were able to get right on. When we got back around noon, there was a very long line of people waiting to get on. Earlier definitely seems to be better. My husband and I can't wait to go back and take this ride again. We will definitely bring our out-of-town visitors here!
