“Great Scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

It was very great scenery on the drive to the Grand Canyon. It was snow capped in May. I did not get close or hike.

“Beautiful - summer or winter”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

If you ski, try the Snow Bowl ski resort. Not flashy like California or Colorado; laid back, reasonably priced, with great views.
In summer, wonderful trails and a fun ski lift ride - great on a hot day as it is much cooler up top. Fabulous views all around.

“Beautiful”

We enjoyed having these as the backdrop during our two days in the Flagstaff area. We didn't do any hiking or anything, but took lots of pictures.

“Makes you draw a breath in wonder....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

There’s something glorious about a snow-covered peak and when several are grouped together against a backdrop of sky with the sun gleaming off the ice, it kind of makes you draw a breath in wonder!

Located within the vast Coconino National Forest as we travelled north out of Flagstaff, this mountain range dramatically over - shadowed a diverse landscape including meadows, pine forests and complete wilderness spots.

They have a sacred and religious significance for a number of Native Indian tribes and the legends surrounding them are intriguing. Next time we’ll come back in summer to try one or two of the easier trails to get an even closer look at this grand collection of volcanic peaks.

Enjoy your experience!
