“Great view close to Flagstaff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

I always enjoy visiting the San Francisco Peaks. I take the long way around to the South Rim just to travel through them. The little side trip to the ski resort is also fun.

“magical, but don't support the skiing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

a great place to be alone with nature. these mountains are sacred to two american indian tribes, so be respectful. it's wilderness up here & very peaceful. very saddened to learn that a ski company will be using artificial snow made from WASTE WATER (yes, exactly what you are thinking). if it doesn't snow, it doesn't snow! don't pollute the earth & sacred land so you can have a few days of skiing.

“Hike or Bike the Peak Trails”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

The Peaks have an exquisite and abundant group of trails to meet nearly everyone's needs! Now the Arizona Trail (a National Scenic Trail) is complete and wraps around and through the Peaks offering expansive views across Hart Prairie, Buffalo Park and Doney Park, dappled shade through pine forests, giant floral fields and waist-high ferns among aspen groves. Heavenly!

“Hikers will love it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

I so love hiking all the mountains around Flag. The views are amazing as you go up very fast. Take water and be prepared of sudden weather changes.. also your starting already at around 7,000 feet so its all a strenous hike but well worth it when you get to the tops.
