“Worth your time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

We had some free time and were not very sure about what to do. We read about Wupatki National Monument and decided to go check it out. I am so glad we did it! It is very interesting. Not very big, we probably stayed there for a little over an hour. You can walk around the ruins (make sure you grab a map so you can have a better idea about what is what). Such a beautiful area! Very desolate and wild. It sure was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it. It was very hot when I was there, make sure you carry water with you.

“Amazing views and experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

The approach to Wupatki quickens the pulse. The area is beautiful, though desolate. We arrived on a weekday and had the place to ourselves. You can enter the ruins, see a view for miles and miles and miles, and almost smell the same wilderness that the original inhabitants called home.

“Nice to visit”

It's a nice and educational experience. Not really a hike experience if that is what you are looking for.

“Several lonely ruins out on the plain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Well worth the drive which should be done with Sunset Craters National Monument. You can spend a nice leisurely day seeing both of these.

“Very fascinating place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

This place is literally in the middle of nowhere. Be sure you have enough gas and food and water. We only visited the main site, but it was very interesting and well-preserved. The guide book was very informative. The blow hole was neat too. The visitors center was small, but had some neat things for our kids to see and do. Trail was not too hard or too long. Even though it's north of Flagstaff, it's down on the desert, so it will be warmer there. If you cannot do the trail, it's still very interesting to look at.
