“Highly Missleading”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2011

I made a reservation to stay here after being in the road for some time and intended to stay while I traveled and sought an apt in Murfreesboro.
I expressly asked for a smoking room, which I was told wasnt a problem. I was given a generic "unassigned" reservation and when I got here,...... Only a non smoking room was available.
Ok, so now I have to put on a coat and walk the stairs every time I wish to enjoy my cig.
Why the stairs? Well there is only one elevator here, and it has a wait time of about 3 mins.
Now,..... I have stayed at many hotels. "I travel ALOT" and my personal opinion is this is one of those places that puts up a great site, ropes you in, and then you realize for the same money you could have stayed in a suit somewhere with a hot breakfast and a pool.
Lets start with the room.
FIRST, its 500 feet from the interstate and i fell asleep to the lovely sounds of passing traffic.
Oh, I mean between the time I was awoken by the slamming of doors due to the paper walls in this place. Let me through in the smell of deep fried tube socks in the hallways here as well.

On the website you see a nice little room with a stove, sink, fridge & flat screen tv,
Thats all true, EXCEPT , its a nice little 19in tube tv. Not a high def flat like the site shows.
And you have a sink, but not one dish rag, not one dish towel, not an oz of dish soap.
They WILL SELL YOU SOME!
At least you get the things to clean yourself with right? NOPE!
Toilet Paper is $1.00 per role and soap is sold as well.
Want clean towels? Thats $7.00 per week.
Want your room cleaned? Well, if you buy the linen service you can change your own bed and retrieve clean sheets downstairs, other than that, cleaning is for sale as well.
At least you get an ironing board and iron right?
NOPE! Not a thing.
Well, I can do laundry downstairs right? SURE, except there is no coin changer for the machines, so unless your doing it during business hours. Its of to search for change!
Want a snack? There is one very overpriced machine downstairs that is full of stale crap.
And a can of coke, its $1.25. But make sure you have the $.25 cents because if you put your dollar in, it will not give it back!
Internet? At most hotels this is a given. Here, thats going to cost you $10 a week.
So lets see.
First, Im lied to about the smoking room!
Then Im lied to about the Flat screen!
Then I have to pay for all these little things that always come with a hotel room.
Linen= $7.00
Internet=$10
Soap and toilet paper = $5.00
Cleaning =$7.00

So the sign says $187.00
after tax, and all the standard things. = $250 per week.
I should have spent $20 more and stayed in a suit somewhere and had a nice big room with a hot breakfast!

Mr. Carroll was disappointed in the level of service at Value Place.

As an extended stay hotel, we are more a hybrid hotel/apartment than a standard hotel. Many features and services considered ‘normal’ for an American hotel are either not available or available at an extra charge.

The majority of his complaint is his misunderstanding of how Value Place operates. We take pride on fully explaining hotel rules and policies at check in and to potential guests who call the hotel. We encourage anyone considering a stay at Value Place to visit ValuePlace.com. There, you can take a virtual tour of a studio. There is also a link called "What to Expect When Staying at Value Place" that has some helpful and useful information. All potential guests are welcome to visit a local Value Place for a tour.

If you're looking for a simple, safe, clean, and affordable room for an extended stay, Value Place is for you!

My husband and I have stayed in more than a dozen extended stay hotels and Value Place Murfreesboro has been our favorite. The staff is wonderful. We recommend staying here at Value Place.

This hotel is only a few years old, so almost everything is like brand new. If you look up the place up on Google Maps street view, you still see the original construction happening. Secure card entry system makes for a very safe environment. Great room layout makes for quiet room. I don't smoke, so having separate floors for smoking and non-smoking really helps. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Location is great! Right off the Interstate with all kinds of restaurants and stores nearby. No amenities like restaurant, pool, or business center, but it is a comfortable room at a great price.

I really appreciate the professional service that I received, anything I needed from the front desk, they were more than happy to assist. The room were spacious, clean, smelt very nice, excellent storage space under the bed(great idea), large Kitchen and bathroom nice tile on both floors, hallways always clean and smelt clean. Outstanding security and I love that no lodding outside. Location is convinent to every store, mall, resturant you can think of.

The only problem I had was the trash guy came to pick up the trash at 3:30am..too early for that much noise.
