“skip it!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

As most of the other reviews state, this mall is mostly empty. Boscov's seems to be the only store doing any business. The few stores that remain are available in any other mall so no real draw for them. Food court is like a ghost town and it has a strange smell. I like going outside behind the mall to look at the trains, but that's it..

“Just Terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

I'm used to the King of Prussia mall outside of Philly. That's a mall. Yes, there are some great businesses here, but 75% of NEPA is broken. And "cheap".

“Sad & Empty”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This mall is a beautiful structure; what a pity so many of the stores are empty. It is in a great location downtown and is near the Steamtown National Historic Site. That said it's a sad excuse for a shopping experience, except for Boscov's. That's about the only reason to go there....

“Has declined dramatically in the past 10 years”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This mall used to be beautiful, and offered a great variety of stores. It now has at least HALF of the store areas VACANT... and the cardboard pop up characters from the show "The Office" really must go. I don't understand why the mall decided to have a county office where people pay their taxes put in, but I guess they needed the revenue. I see a lot of shady things going on in the mall and wouldn't take my kids there. The food court used to have a lot of variety, and now there is only one place open. Very sad to see how this beautiful mall has deteriorated into a hang out for people who look like they are looking to make drug deals....and kids who are running around bragging about shoplifting. I only visit this mall for Boscov's Department Store and occasionally for Hollister. Wish they could revive it and make it "safe" to shop there again.

“GREAT SHOPPING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The Mall at Steamtown has changed a lot over the years. The anchor stores have stayed but the other stores are always changing. Eddie Bauer has moved out. Boscovs and Bon-Ton have remained unchanged. The food court is always changing. The free parking garage is a plus in bad weather. The USPS is also handy.
