“Great for beer and Apps. Dinner? Not so much”
Went on a busy Friday. The noise of the outside band penetrated the dining room to an annoying level, but it was Friday night. Ok...
Had frog legs, which were great. Beer was great. Then ordered the seafood boil pot. Terrible.
I have no idea how long some of this stuff was frozen/freezedried, and then reheated, but it was terrible. The clams were sandy and not fresh. The shrimp were overcooked.
But the worst was the dessicated snowcrab and lobster claws. The volume of meat in the claws were maybe 10% of the original size, and covered in a slime. I brought this to the attention of the waitress, who then asked if the rest of the meal was fine, and shrugged it off.
Uh...yeah. Other than the engine of the ferrari being blown, the glove compartment opens great. I mean...it was only the lobster. The potatoes and corn were sublime!
I have been going to Coopers for years. This entree thing seems to be happening more and more. From now on, I will stick to the beer, stuffed jalapenos, soups, and other non-shellfish appetizers, which are great.
But the days of blowing 36$ on an entree are officially over...especially given the "could-give-a rat's-[--]" attitude of the waitress.
