“Nice Visit, But Not a Ton to Do”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2014 NEW

I just got back from the Montage Mountain waterpark two days ago, and enjoyed myself pretty well. The rides that were there were well kept, as was the entire park. The park looks to be only a few years old, and it's great because not many people know it's there. We went on a Tuesday, so there were no lines for any of the slides longer than 5 people. The only disadvantage is, there's not a ton to do! If you are going during the week, the zip line is not open. It's not stated on the website, but the zip line only opens on weekends. Also, there's only 5 waterslides all together, which isn't too many for a waterpark that charges $26 a person (after tax). Overall, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the park, and the lack of people. But if you are a thrill seeker like me, and want a bunch of rides, this is not the place for you. I would return if the tickets were a little cheaper, or if they expanded further.

“Great Park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

I have to say that I have only used the lazy river and the restaurant but both areas are great! The servers actually walked to our lounge chairs and served us there. The lazy river is actually really relaxing. It is a little colder than I would like but it is refreshing. The waterfalls are pretty cold but it is easy enough to avoid them if you want to. The servers that come around are really nice and helpful. The food is actually pretty good. I had a Caesar salad and it was huge and really yummy! The drink menu is really interesting and reasonably priced and delicious! We bought a season pass which is a great deal! I am scared to recommend this so well because I love how it is not tooooo crowded but I couldn't keep this a secret!

“Great Ski Escape”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

Sure the mountain is not Elk which is the undisputed PA leader but it is cheaper, quieter, has a better lodge including Wifi for free. The lifts are a bit slow but my children want to return even after we went to Elk the following day. Definately a worthwhile stop in the Pocono Ski world.

“2 great attractions among several mediocre ones”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Sno Cove at Montage Mountain in Scranton (or whatever they are calling it these days) has a handful of water-themed attractions including a dull lazy river, three non-nondescript water slides and a respectable wave (although "swell" captures it better) pool. Skip these and go on the 2 monster attractions. 1) "Tundra tornado" is a plus-sized tube-based water slide that drops you and your party screaming down a severe incline into a massive open-ended funnel that, damn it, feels like you are going to go flying out of onto the grass. Genuinely frightening. (2) The zip line carries you from a tower high in the mountain about - what? - half mile over the park to the other side of the valley. At $5 after you buy the water park pass the ride up to the zip line in the ski lift is well worth the money - the ride itself is a like a bonus. All else fails, there's also a pretty nice outdoor bar.
