“Great staff, perfect location, comfy room.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2011 via mobile

The staff was friendly, helpful, and patient. The rooms were the normal rooms you would find in an older Marriott-- bathrooms a little small, but everything more than adequate.

My wife and I stayed recently at the Springfield Marriott over looking the river on the 12th floor. The bed was just what the doctor ordered after we spent several hours at the BIG E fair. The bellmen were very accomodating as was the front desk personnel. Christina at Currents was a very informative as she recommended a great tour in South Deerfield at BBC while I enjoyed the Steel Rail on tap with our sampler. Our morning workout in the fitness center was good then the buffet breakfast back in Currents was very 'full' filling. Cheese Blintzes was a breakfast treat. This hotel was recommended to us and it didn't let us down!!

I decided to stay at the "Marriott" during "The Big E" due to the fact that West Springfield hotels got many bad reviews on Tripadvisor, so I opted to try surrounding towns for a 2-night hotel stay. The "Marriott" was less than a ½ mile from the "Big E" Fairgrounds, making it a 5 minute drive. Perfect location if you are visiting the Fairgrounds! The Marriott was clean and security was tight. A room card key is needed to use the elevator just to get to your room. Because I read many reviews about how bad the area was at night, we did not venture out at night for this reason.

They have a parking garage for a fee of $14.00 a day, with in/out priviledges. When you are checking in, go to the front of the hotel's horse-shoe driveway, leave your car out in front of the hotel [lock it!!], check in, and then you can get your room key and use it in the parking garage and all charges are put onto your room. There is an entrance to the hotel right inside the parking garage, so you do not even have to leave the garage! Great perk!

We stayed Friday night and Saturday night to visit the Fairgrounds and had no issues with noise. Our room faced the courtyard, NOT the highway side.

Although a little more expensive than the hotels in West Springfield....I would pay it [again] for several reasons: The peace of mind that you are safe in your room; The cleaniness; Modern Decor; Big rooms; Flat Screen TV's; Room Service; Always happy front desk personnel.

My husband and I booked a two-night stay at the Springfield Marriott for a nearby wedding. This hotel is an ideal home base for anyone exploring the Pioneer Valley: The rooms are clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms well-equipped with great showers. We took advantage of the on-premise Dunkin' Donuts and CVS for breakfast and errand shopping. The hotel staff was renovating their parking garage entrance when we stayed, but the inconvenience was absolutely minimal. All in all a nice hotel with a very courteous staff.

Springfield needs a reset, but this hotel is very well run. Great location. Easy freeway access. Lovely room. Great beds and bedding. Super nice staff. Lovely restaurant. I was so surprised and delighted and will stay here whenever visiting the area. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Parking was very convenient. $14/day with unlimited entry/exit.

After spenidng a week on vacation in 4 different hotels; when I asked my 10 year old daughter what she liked the best about our trip she said, "staying at the Marriott". It was the nicest hotel we stayed at, A breakfast buffet was included with our room rate and it was an amzing breakfast! The pool and whirlpool were open until 11 and checkout was noon. Security was great; a room key was needed to take the elevator to your floor/pool..

I stayed here for just 1 nite on business and it was more than comfortable. I arrived a little later tahn expected for a business dinner after driving up from NYC. When I mentioned to the front desk that I wanted to freshen up before my dinner, they offered to have a cab ready for me whne I got back from my room. A great move on their part. Also after I inquired about a safe they offered to keep my stuff secure at the desk, as there are no safes in the room. After my dinner I spent some time in the hotel bar, Champions. Nice place with every game on and a freindly bartender. The breakfast buffet the next morning was great and check out was not until noon! Great after a long nite with clients.Overall the room was very clean and certainly big enough. The shower was hot and the pressure was great. The entire staff was excellant and very helpful. The only "knock" I could think of was the bathroom was small and there was no safe in the room. This was another solid job by the Marriott and the staff in Springfield and I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Marriott!!!
