“Great Stay at an Excellent Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

This hotel is very comfortably furnished with a nice decor, fridg, and microwave. It was clean, well maintained, and the management was attentive. The beds were So Comfortable and the air conditioner quiet enough that we had a wonderful night's sleep. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

My finace and i stood at the la quinta. For a weekend getaway to six flags. The hotels about 15 mins away which is great! The hotel was newely renovated so it was nice. It was still being renovated at the time, but all the amenities were accesible. The pool was nice, a little crowded because there was a convention that weekend. The pool was only open til 9 which is too early. We left six flags early to go in the pool at the hotel but was disappointed, when a hotel worker came in an kicked everybody out. The breakfast room is big with hot selections for food, but because of the convention it was way over crowded. The hotel had a bar, but it was dead and had a older aged atmosphere. We tried to request an early check in considering it was a 4 hour drive for us. They couldnt guarentee that, or a late check out.. Which is always a great option wen check out is at 11. The staff was semi-friendly nothing welcoming or rude jus sub-par. The walls are paper thin and i could hear every tv within 5 rooms around us. They didnt offer any firm pillows, only feathered which is nice for sum people. But i need a pillow with substance i had to fold it, like 3 time. The room wasnt very clean, just enough by looking, but the toilet paper wasnt a full roll, and its awkward having to call down for more. Its an ok hotel for a weekend at a moderate price.

I agreed with previous posters, this hotel is close to highway, and downtown, great spot for families visiting Six Flags. Staff was plesant and accomodating. Clean and nice modern fixtures --loved the decor, felt like a higher end hotel. Bar in the lobby was nice and affordable. Indoor swimming pool was ok, good enough to please our 7 and 9 year olds. Beds were very comfortable, rooms had a microwave and fridge --a plus for families with young kids. Property is pet friendly, a plus for us, as well as, our chihuahua. A few cons, you can hear multiple neighbors in the hall and through door/wall. We were waken up at 3:30 am by a screaming baby and then again at 6:30 by our early risers. I also hope that they keep up with mantaining their grounds/beautiful decor. For example, the breakfast area already looked like it already needed some attention. Its modern confortable chairs were a bit dusty and dirty, understandably so, but needed attention. Bathroom is updated, but very small, hard to close the door when sitting in the toilet. All in all the pluses surpass the minuses, and we will happily come back to this hotel!

Good hotel. Convenient to highway and downtown. Not much in immediate area, but walkable to Hospitals and downtown area. Clean and nice fixtures. Has a bar in lobby. also a swimming pool. Recently changed from a Holiday Inn in last year.and had a major remodel. Usually stay in a HI but it gets crowded there. this may get crowded in the future during events, but so far it is manageable. Only problem is that can hear neighbors through door/wall. But I was so tired I guess it didn't affect my sleep.

Stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites Springfield for two nights (Aug 2013) with my family. It was close to Six Flags and we wanted a hotel with breakfast and indoor swimming pool. Beds were very comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was better than expected. Hotel staff were very helpful. I had car issues and Angel made a few suggestions for a reputable garage close by. They also made a few dinner suggestions. We went to Theodore's. I had a rack of ribs that were incredible. Made me forget all about my car issues. Neighborhood around the hotel wasn't the prettiest. I was slightly uneasy walking around with the kids outside during the evening. Pool was decent - perhaps a little dated but kids didn't care. Chlorine was a little strong but that's what it must be, I suppose, for a public indoor pool. All in all, the our experience in La Quinta Inn & Suites Springfield was a good one.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

We have been staying at this hotel for many years when in Springfield, MA (since the '70's and through three different chains). It had gotten kind of run down at one point but when I called this year I was told that "every inch has been remodeled". We stayed in room 507 for the dates of July 25 through July 28, 2013. They have added nice refrigerators, microwaves & flat screen TV's. The space was very tight however. We had a connecting room with our son and his family which we had asked for months in advance. The problem was that in front of the connecting door between our rooms was a floor lamp and a sitting upholstered chair that was fairly heavy. We tried moving the chair but it wouldn't fit between the bed and window, not between the two Q beds nor between the bed and wall on the other side. We had to move it aside each time we wanted to go between rooms. The bathroom had a decent sink and counter top, plenty of towels, was fairly clean but the tub and toilet were very old and the toilet was not attached very well and would rock each time it was sat on. The lighting was poor in there. The closet was huge (could have made it smaller and left room for the chair). The coffee maker was sitting on the desk and not in a practical spot. There was a lot of noise in the hallways with adults and kids yelling to each other until about 10pm. My husband had to open the door a couple of times and tell people to quiet down (they did each night). The beds were comfortable. The cleaning staff wasn't very good and left a lot of stuff on the floor each time she cleaned (we still left her a good tip each day). One day she didn't replace the towels we had used (she took the used ones out but didn't put new ones in). The drapes, bed linens, etc were nice enough. It was pretty comfortable all in all. As an afterthought the temperature was difficult to control.

Room Tip: We were on the turnpike side and did not hear any outside noise (the hallway probably drowned it out...
