“Best Food in Sitka”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Hands-down the best place to eat in Sitka, and one of the better restaurants I've eaten at anywhere! It's a cozy space, with very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Colette sources all her seafood from local fishermen, and produce from organic growers. If you only eat at one place in Sitka - Ludvig's is the place!

“Best dinner in Sitka”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Make a reservation! This is a very small restaurant and is always busy. Its fairly expensive but the food and experience are both worth it. You will not be disappointed with the unique and delicious menu choices. Give it a try and remember to make a reservations at least a few days in advance to be safe.

“Like a portal to Spain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Sitka Alaska is one of my favorite places on the panet, however when youstep into ludwigs it is like being transported to Spain. The colors and decor are amazing. It has alot of energy and is always packed. Now in truth there are not many dingi choices in Sitka this happens to be one of the tops, and in my opion if you took it and put it somwe where else you would still have a gem.
The food and wine, sre good too, nice cellar of spanish as well as other choices. The Chowder, ohhh the chowder, is well the best I have ever had and that is saying somthing, if you don't mind a little spice. The Paella devine, the steaks awesome, proprtionsa re hug as well.
As the other have said make reservations or miss out.

“Tiny room with Big Taste”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

This tiny gem is a must. You have to make reservations as it fills quickly. I made reservations before arriving in Alaska. The Paella was delicious but big. Two of us split the meal and we were stuffed. The room is small but food is delicious!

“Great Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

Great Food, but tight on space.

The appetizers are awesome. Wine selection is good. The chowder is very good. Very Mediterranean.
