“great tacos!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Considered by many to be one of the best restaurants in Sitka.
They have a small selection (3-4) of Alaskan craft brews and the best tacos I have had in a long time.
I was in Sitka for 5 days and I went the first day and the pulled-pork tacos; came back 3 days later and had the spicy fish tacos. Downed with a craft beer. Excellent.
This is not really a 'bar'. You go for a great lunch or breakfast.

“A hidden gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Great atmosphere and great food! Food seemed freshly prepared and waitstaff was friendly. There was music there Saturday night. The place is small, but there is seating outside. Not a ton of fish choices, but good variety of choices (paninis, thai curry, salmon sandwich, salads). Reasonable prices for Alaska. A sandwich and salad was $12.

“Order the Salmon Chowder...You'll be Glad You Did!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We had lunch at The Larkspur Cafe after returning from an Otter and Wildlife boat excursion. We were wet and tired and this was the first place we came upon. The other diners appeared to be locals, the staff was friendly and the salmon chowder was to die for. Sandwiches are very large to consider sharing one and enjoy the eclectic decor.

“Relaxing spot for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We came upon The Larkspur Cafe while wandering around downtown Sitka and were glad we did. It was an informal and friendly spot for lunch that welcomed locals as well as travelers.
The sandwiches were quite large with good ingredients, and could easily be shared, and the service was efficient and cheerful. Prices are high, but you get used to that quickly in Alaska.

“Walked out”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

Staff was snobby, menu prices were ridiculous. While we contemplated a $15 BLT & were then told they don't carry Coke but we were free to look in the cooler for a beverage we made a wise choice to leave. This is a tourist trap. Many better choices in Sitka.
