It was a windy and rainy day on 20 Sep 09 when we went on the Marine Wildlife Tour with Captain Davey. We were initally concerned the wild weather would make for an uncomfortable outing but we were kept warm and comfortable in Esther G's heated cabin, and Captain Davey's lively commentary. He thoughtfully loaned us binoculars, and shared with us highlights of the the beautiful Sitka Sound. It was too late in the season for puffins but we saw humpback whale, grey whale, rafts of male sea otters, sealions, many bald eagles and other sea birds. We had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to our friends. The home baked oatmeal chunky chocolate cookies were marvellous!
