“Fantastic Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

My husband and I loved our stay at the South Court Inn. Adelheid and Mike were very welcoming and we felt at home. The small touches from the welcome sign outside to the snacks left in the room and sunroom were great. They were also very accommodating with special requests. We will definitely return!

This is an absolutely beautiful, meticulously restored Victorian house with an emphasis on comfort. We stayed for two nights and the room was large and beautifully decorated. There were complimentary snacks and drinks in the room and throughout the common areas. The breakfasts were tasty, filling, and beautifully presented. Mike and Adelheid did anything and everything to make us comfortable. You will find a wide range of things to do in the area--Luray Caverns, Skyline drive (to hike, bike or drive)or just the beautiful grounds to enjoy.

Room Tip: The turquoise room on the first floor is great for those with mobility issues.

I really enjoyed my recent weekend stay at the South Court Inn. The location is great for walking to "downtown" Luray, and it's only a five minute drive to the famous Luray Caverns. One fantastic touch is that the place is constantly stocked with delicious and *complimentary* snacks, drinks, and baked goods! The deliciousness also extends to breakfast: the owner (Adelaide) is a fantastic chef and baker. The place is clean and comfortable and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to spend a relaxing, camping-free weekend in the valley.

Spent a lovely three days here, it's a fantastic house in a lovley location. The breakfasts were amazing and the snacks and afternoon treats were great. Adelheid really made us feel at home and we would love to return again if we are in the area.

Spent a lovely weekend at the South Court Inn. Great location, nice decor, delicious food, and friendly hosts. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any special needs requests. One breakfast Adelheid had a gluten free and Atkins diet guest, both were served with delicious meals, cooked just for them. her afternoon cakes are unbeatable, be sure you don't miss them. Highly recommend.

the food was amazing, the decor was great, all of the fresh baked goods were amazing, there were so many great things about this place. Minutes from the caverns, and the little town shops. I would for sure return again.

My husband and I stayed at South Court Inn over St. Patricks's Day weekend. Mike and Adelheid are such delightful hosts! There were so many special, custom touches to make our stay unforgettable! So, we decided South Court Inn is now "our place" to getaway. It's a great fit for my husband and I. I have a special diet- gluten-free & dairy-free- and Adelheid was able to accommodate my needs, even at relatively short notice. Bonus, that she is a dietician! That was really nice, to getaway and have my special diet covered. (We also found a restaurant nearby for dinner that serves homemade gluten-free bread: Gathering Grounds Cafe. We highly recommend it!)

We really enjoyed the European flavor at this Inn, with Adelheid's German heritage and Art History background. Our room felt like the Italian Renaissance & Baroque eras. Very romantic! And very comfy (memory foam top) bed. A special tea and coffee tray was brought to our door both mornings. Then, we enjoyed lavish gourmet breakfasts, in an elegant dining room. There were even gluten-free goodies :0), snacks & drinks upon arrival, and throughout the weekend. Not to mention the evening wine hour...Mike and Adelheid really go "all out," plus they have lots of info/resources on what to do in the area. We'll definitely be back soon. We loved it!
