My wife and I have just returned from a three-night stay at the South Court Inn using their elopement package to renew our wedding vows and found it to be a very enjoyable experience.
Even before we arrived I realized that the South Court’s owners, Tom and Anita, were very patient and accommodating. We had some scheduling conflicts that went on for weeks and through it all they were extremely understanding and helpful.
Their elopement package is all-inclusive and was an excellent value for everything we received. For a little more than what some people wanted to charge us for a one hour ceremony on the beach we had a three-night stay, (we added an extra night to the package), in a private cottage. Included with this were two tickets to Luray Caverns (highly recommended), two one-hour massages at the inn, champagne flutes, two very luxurious bathrobes, a $75 gift certificate to dinner at an elegant local restaurant, a box of Godiva chocolates, earrings for my wife, a nice heart shaped keepsake box, and I know I forgetting some things. We both felt we received a lot for our money.
Tom performed the ceremony there at the inn in front of the mantle, which looked lovely decorated for Christmas. My wife and I both enjoyed how warm and personal the vows were, very romantic without being too mushy. Anita filmed the event and afterwards Tom patiently worked with us taking numerous pictures with our camera.
The inn is a late 1800s farmhouse that has been converted to a bed-and-breakfast that is just filled with wonderful antiques. We ate breakfast in the dinning room each morning while Tom gave us the history of the house and some of the things in it, which I found quite fascinating. And the food was no common fare; Tom is quite the gourmet chef who isn’t afraid to strut his stuff. Each delightful meal had us wondering what we would be enjoying the next day. Tom and Anita are very service minded and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay very memorable.
I would have to say that our stay at the South Court Inn more than exceeded both our expectations and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone, or return there ourselves in the future.
