My wife and I have just returned from a three-night stay at the South Court Inn using their elopement package to renew our wedding vows and found it to be a very enjoyable experience.
Even before we arrived I realized that the South Court’s owners, Tom and Anita, were very patient and accommodating. We had some scheduling conflicts that went on for weeks and through it all they were extremely understanding and helpful.
Their elopement package is all-inclusive and was an excellent value for everything we received. For a little more than what some people wanted to charge us for a one hour ceremony on the beach we had a three-night stay, (we added an extra night to the package), in a private cottage. Included with this were two tickets to Luray Caverns (highly recommended), two one-hour massages at the inn, champagne flutes, two very luxurious bathrobes, a $75 gift certificate to dinner at an elegant local restaurant, a box of Godiva chocolates, earrings for my wife, a nice heart shaped keepsake box, and I know I forgetting some things. We both felt we received a lot for our money.
Tom performed the ceremony there at the inn in front of the mantle, which looked lovely decorated for Christmas. My wife and I both enjoyed how warm and personal the vows were, very romantic without being too mushy. Anita filmed the event and afterwards Tom patiently worked with us taking numerous pictures with our camera.
The inn is a late 1800s farmhouse that has been converted to a bed-and-breakfast that is just filled with wonderful antiques. We ate breakfast in the dinning room each morning while Tom gave us the history of the house and some of the things in it, which I found quite fascinating. And the food was no common fare; Tom is quite the gourmet chef who isn’t afraid to strut his stuff. Each delightful meal had us wondering what we would be enjoying the next day. Tom and Anita are very service minded and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay very memorable.
I would have to say that our stay at the South Court Inn more than exceeded both our expectations and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone, or return there ourselves in the future.

We spent a lovely anniversary weekend exploring the area around Luray Virginia and South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast provided a great base for our weekend. From the time we booked our room until the time we turned our keys in, B&B owners Tom and Anita Potts were gracious and extremely helpful hosts. Tom offered his help making dinner reservations for our anniversary dinner, booking our tickets for Luray Caverns and also provided suggestions for winery visits and day trips.

As for breakfast, we were first intimidated by the elaborate table settings and the fact that all guests had to eat together promptly at 9 am, but the food and the relaxed banter amongst guests and hosts was a nice experience. The food was amazing!

We stayed in the Mary Kennard Room. The picture on their website doesn't do the room justice. The walls are painted a beautiful royal blue color which gave the room a cozy feel. The bed was nice and comfortable and the bathroom was a good size.

We really enjoyed our stay at the South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast and will definitely stay there again.

We loved the Margaret Bland room and the rest of the house. The room's furniture and decorations were gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. The large living room was also decorated beautifully following the 1800 architecture.

The breakfasts were delicious, especially the homemade sausage! The dining room place settings were antique and the hosts told interesting stories about how people in the 1800's lived. We liked the hosts discussions of the history of the house.

We would definitely stay at this B&B again and recommend it.

“Beautiful stay at a beautiful place”

South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast

The South Court Inn is really a wonderful place for a get away! The house is lovely in every way and it can transport you to another time. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, each day more so than the day before. And the hosts are truly welcoming and accommodating! The Potts gave us great ideas on what to do in the area, what sites to see, and what restaurants to visit. They made reservations for us and also set us off on a day of exploring, map in hand!

Our 4 days away could not have been more enjoyable. We hope to get back to the South Court Inn very soon!

This was our first experience with a Bed and Breakfast. We had a wonderful time. The Potts Home was warm and friendly. We enjoyed looking though all their treasures. The breakfast was great with wonderful food, great discussion, and enjoying Tom and Anita’s knowledge of the area and wonderful facts about their great china. Highly recommended.
