The best description I can give to Piney Hill is "home." Hank and Wiley felt like old friends immediately as they helped us get settled. They gave excellent advice about the area and the food was delicious. I bought their cook book and have already tried a recipe from it; it was super-easy and turned out great! The house was cozy, and my husband and I felt very rejuvenated after our two-night getaway. I would definitely like to visit again as often as I can!

You can stop your search with the Piney Hill B&B. We did, and agree with the guests who thought it was an outstanding experience. We were the only guests the Sunday night before Thanksgiving. Wiley greeted us with a text message before we arrived. Hank met us at the door and volunteered some history about the house. We were shown menus for restaurants in town, made to feel right at home hopping into the hot tub overlooking pastures beside the house, sat ourselves down to a Scrabble game at the dining room table, and enjoyed a late night snack of homemade cake. We were thoughtfully given printouts of trail maps for the Shenandoah and, overall, thought the experience was as comfortable and relaxing as being invited to stay with friends.

My boyfriend and I stayed for a long weekend at Piney Hill in the Walter Rogers room and had an absolutely wonderful time! Hank and Wiley were incredibly gracious with their advice, suggestions and took amazing care of us for the entire weekend. The inn was beautiful and the food was outstanding! We had such a wonderful time over the weekend and look forward to returning. I can't recommend Piney Hill enough. Its fantastic!

My wife and I stayed in the Hurley Bird cottage for our honeymoon. We couldn't have planned it better between arriving during the peak of the leaves changing, great weather and Hank and Wiley providing us with perfect service and friendship. The Hurley Bird was the perfect size for us and could not have been more comforting. Piney Hill is just minutes from town and Skyline Drive, but has a wonderful country setting. It was great to spend the days enjoying the trails and then come home (yes, it felt like home) to some good local wine (check out the stores in town and grab a bottle of the blackberry wine) and getting cozy on the couch. The breakfasts are amazing and are delivered to the front door in a picnic basket every morning around 8:45 with a slight but polite knock on the door. We also went with the relaxation package and didn't regret a single penny we spent on it. The couples massage was wonderful and done in the privacy of the cottage by a mother-daughter team who could not of been more nice and professional. The icing on the cake was Mrs. Prissy, one of the cats would run to great us whether we were coming or going. When it came time to leave we didn't want to go. We look forward to making many more trips to Piney Hill in the future. Hank and Wiley were perfect hosts who provided us with the best honeymoon we could have experienced.
