Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said? We had two very relaxing and peaceful nights here mid September. I can't think of anything negative to say except that two nights wasn't long enough! The house and Hank & Wiley are so welcoming. Everywhere is spotless. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch in the rocking chairs with a glass of wine and the the cats at our feet. The breakfasts were an absolute feast and there are homemade cakes and cookies available all day - we took some with us on our departure and had a picnic later. Hank's pumpkin cake was delicious! I would highly recommmend this place to anyone who wants to get away from it all and have a peaceful and relaxing time. If I am ever fortunate to be in Virginia again, then I will definitely return to Piney Hill!

Piney Hill B&B is a true "Virginia Gem"! Hank Overton and Wiley Gregory have created a getaway fit for a king and queen.Their initial warm greeting at the front porch sets a positive tone for a most memorable stay. The house is somerthing right out of Country Living Magazine. Warm country furnishings, priceless antiques, vintage pictures and the smell of fresh baked goods make this B&B a must to experience. The rooms are confortable and cozy, the breakfast devine and the views of the mountains priceless. The many numerous attractions around this area make Luray, Va. a must visit destination.Thank you both for another wonderful stay.We will continue to come back for many years to come. Kathryn and I could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our first anniversary. The Inn (House) was beautifully decorated with the mountains of the Shenandoah as a backdrop. The breakfast each day was superb. The innkeepers were enjoyable to talk with and provided us local information and maps to make our stay all the more enjoyable. Thanks for everything!!!!

My husband and I spent the recent Labor day weekend at Piney Hill as a mini celebration for our 2nd wedding anniversary. It was also our last break away before our baby is due this December.
I was already impressed with the level of service from Wiley and Hank (the owners) before we even arrived as they attentively checked in with me to see if I had any special dietary needs and checked with me on certain recipes they would typically prepare.

On arrival at Piney Hill, we were greeted by Hank who showed us through to the lovely country kitchen and ensured we had refreshments and had relaxed from our drive before we checked in. Hank showed us around the grounds and made us truely feel like their home was our home.

Our room (the Walter room) was quaint, nicely decorated and perfect for the two night stay. The room was adjacent to the ground floor deck which had large rocking chairs, perfect to watch the stars from in the evenings.

On both mornings we were there, we were greeted to a wonderful homemade breakfast which looked beautiful as well as tasted fantastic and set us up for the day ahead. I even asked for and obtained the recipes so that I coould endeavor to replicate the breakfast feast when I got home.

Nothing was too much trouble for Hank and Wiley. They made us feel welcome, relaxed and we left Piney Hill feeling rested and recuperated! We very much look forward to being able to return in the near future.
