Good place to stop right before Sequoia. Our room was next to the elevator. There was some noise but it wasn't too bad. I would stay again. Continental breakfast was good. Liked the blueberry waffles. Staff is friendly.

This is a very popular hotel for people either going to or coming from Sequoia National Park. The rooms are nice, the place is quiet. Depending on the room, some have refrigerators, and microwaves, all have coffee/tea machines. We had a Kingsize bed, they also allow pets for a fee, however you should call ahead to make sure they do not have a size or breed limitations. They offer a free hot breakfast which is typical of middle cost range chains, It is better than some fast food chains and it is free. There is a coffee machine ready 24/7 in the lobby and all the rooms have free WiFi that worked find. You need to remember a few things about this area. In Three Rivers, the only Cellular Operator is AT&T, near the supermarket and drug store you may get a hit from one of the other carriers. No one sells SIM cards in the area. If you have a SIM Card from a foreign country that you bought for your trip, it will typically find a carrier automatically. In the Sequoia Park, there is no cellular Service. They do not allow towers in the Parks.

Room Tip: My advice is to always call ahead, regardless of how long your stay is...or go on line to the web si...

This hotel is in a great location if you are planning to visit Sequoia National Park. When we stayed here, we were on a family vacation for Spring break and this hotel gave us easy access to the park as well as having several eating places within walking distance of the hotel. We particularly enjoyed the Mexican restaurant right across the street (although I can't remember the name of it). They also offer a complementary breakfast which is quite popular with the guests and draws quite a crowd. The breakfast is pretty good, but the highlight is the waffle iron where you poor the batter in yourself for a fresh waffle. These were very good, but plan to wait in line to get one. There are also eggs, sausages, muffins, etc. but if you want a waffle, I would recommend getting to breakfast early or later prior to closing to avoid the line. It takes about 3 minutes for the waffle to cook (there are 2 waffle irons) so if there are 6 people in line you are going to wait about 10 minutes.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. I particularly liked that they had complementary make up wipes in addition to the standard shampoo, soap and lotion.

We were disappointed with the pool. It was freezing! The day we arrived we had planned to go to the Sequoias, but there was a small fire and they were not letting anyone into the park. We thought we would spend the afternoon at the pool, but it was so cold I couldn't even put my feet in. They do have a hot tub, but the water didn't look clean to me and it was full, probably because the pool was so cold. The pool towels were actually smaller than the bath towels in the room, so I would recommend bringing your own towel if you plan to use the pool.

The front desk staff were very friendly and overall we were pleased with our room and the hotel in general.

We arrived after dark but the hotel was very easy to find. The reception people were very helpfull also in the confirmation of a reservation farther on in our journey. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and we had no noise from the road. Rooms at the hindside of the motel are advantageous in that respect.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms off the road, at the back side.

I considered a number of options before choosing the Comfort Inn as our base for visiting the Sequoia National Park, and did so primarily because we had used this chain before when visiting the USA.
It is impossible to miss as you drive down into Three Rivers and the check-in process is painless. In our block, rooms were either on the ground or first floor and we were allocated one of the former (114). Some of the ground-floor rooms have window blinds, but ours did not, so we had to keep the curtains closed at all times to get some privacy as the rooms are right next to the parking area.
The room itself had a king side bed and was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a sink and vanity unit at the far end, and our only concern was that the bathroom towels were quite thin, and not of a high quality.
Breakfast is provided adjacent to the lobby area, where there is also a small shop, but as with other US chain hotels we have stayed in, it wasn't really big enough for the number of guests trying to eat at the same time. The food-choice/drinks area was very congested both mornings, and finding a table to sit at was not easy - so I'd suggest eating early or late.
All in all, I'd say this hotel is better than three stars average, but more worthy of three and a half stars good, than four.
Dining-wise, we ate at the Gateway Restaurant, close to the entrance to the park, and the Cider Mill, about half a mile back along Sierra Drive from the hotel. The former has a lovely location next to the river, but the food was good, although a little overpriced in my opinion. As for the Cider Mill, the service was a little over-enthusiastic, with our main course arriving before we had finished our starters.

Room Tip: If you want a ground floor room, be sure to ask for one with window blinds as well as curtains.

Had a pleasant stay here and our ground floor room had everything we needed. The location is great for visiting Sequoia and local eateries. The breakfast area was very busy and there were food choices.......you won't starve. Joe at the front desk was helpful. Three Rivers is a pretty little place. The Comfort Inn is quite affordable and I would stay again.

This was my first visit to Sequoia Kings Canyon area..
The location of this property was 5 minutes or less from the park entrance and had several good options around.
Room was clean, bath was modern considering its a comfort inn..
Had a pool (not heated) but the kids don't care, and a hot tub that was heated some what...
The included breakfast was good, lots of options. It was good enough I would say don't bother eating breakfast out...
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
The person behind the desk was very efficient...
Room was large...
I didn't go into the other motels in the area but this seems to be one of the better choices right outside the park...
We paid 149.00 per night is tax.
I feel it's a fair to good value for the money and the location is very good to excellent..
That's why it gets a very good review from me...

Enjoy your trip to Sequoia....
