“Nothing to complain”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Nothing to complain about, unpretentious accommodation "motel style", probably one of the most comfortable in Three Rivers for just one night, good breakfast (waffles!)...Clean and spacious room (unless you consider the standard shower curtain so widespread in the USA as well as the standard carpet)

This is more a motel. It had 2 good queen sized beds but it had no fridge and all windows looked over the walkway so no privacy. Breakfast was OK for lots of sweet stuff but the fried eggs had been done in a machine and looked odd and unappetising. There is no restaurant but you can walk a quarter of a mile to a Mexican which was basic but the food was good. Staff very helpful and pleasant. It is about 6 miles to the start of the Sequoia park where a long and twisty ascent awaits you.

To sum it up in a few words, this was the WORST Hotel I have ever had the displeasure to experience. It doesn't even deserve 1 Star!
The hotel is old, dirty, and poorly maintained. It certainly doesn't look anything like the pictures. The bathroom and carpets were so filthy that we wore water shoes in the room and in the shower. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The AC smelled of mold and didn't work adequately. The ice machine was broken - in the middle of July. The Wifi did not work and the breakfast "food" was inedible.
Ok, so I came to the area for the park, not the hotel. I was willing to suck it up for a couple of nights. But even though the hotel conditions were bad, the hotel management was even worse. They would rather have a dissatisfied guest than doing the right thing. Choice Hotels should re-evaluate this sub-standard "hotel" for the poor conditions and poor customer service.

Room Tip: Don't make the same mistake I did, skip this hotel.

It's a Comfort Inn, not the Four Seasons. It was clean. There was free breakfast(which we passed on the second morning in favor of a good local spot). If I am so fortunate as to return to Three Rivers, I would stay here again. We really enjoyed our time in town.

We arrived a little early but our rooms were ready. We were lucky to get a hadicapped room with a big bathroom which was appreciated tremendesly. It was also situated near the swimming pool with towels.
Breakfast was standard but the coffee was good.
The personal at the reception provided us with good information.
Restaurants were close by

Room Tip: A good handicapped room with ac and a big bathroom

A/C worked great. About the only good thing there. After hiking in Sequoia wanted to relax in the hot tub. It was hot but jets barely worked. Morning continental breakfast was a fiasco. And no WiFi in the room. Room was very clean though with comfy beds.

Thank you for the review... we do have broadband wifi here in the mountains and I apologize that sometimes depending on the amount of devices all on the net at the same time it does slow it down and / or make it impossible for some to get on. Calling our front desk and letting us know does give us that opportunity to reboot the system. I apologize for your disappointments but hope that you enjoyed the park.

Thank you for your visit

Booked this on a recommendation from the Virgin travel rep as they could not book it s part of our holiday package. Great hotel just 30 miles from the end of our Sequoia road trip, with friendly staff nice comfortable rooms and a good price, including breakfast.
