It is the nicest hotel in the area but as a frequent traveler this place is far from nice. Arrived an hour and half before check in... they would not allow early check in. Went to see the big sequoias which were beautiful. Sheets feel like sandpaper... no water pressure, pool closes with a padlock promptly at nine on weekends. No mini fridge, no microwave and you are lucky if you get a neighbor who is quiet (every squeek and sound can be heard in the building). The locals are the nicest people ever but the staff doesn't seem genuine.

Dear Guest,

I apologize for you having to wait to check in as the room type that you reserved is the most popular and they just hadn't been inspected yet to insure the room met our standards before allowing a new guest to check into it. As with any hotel there are standards that we perfer to keep such as the pool hours. As pool pumps are extremely noisey and there are guest rooms above that area we have taken on the policy that 9pm is fair to everyone. However, if you had asked for the pool to be left open for another half hour we would have gladley accommodated you as we want everyone to experience our amenities and for it to be a pleasant experience at that.

Also we do have rooms with and without a microwave and refrigerator as we do try to fit everyones budget and needs. We do strive to make everyones time here pleasant and comfortable and I'm sorry that this was not the case for you. I hope you arrived home safely and that you enjoyed our National Parks.

Best Regards,

Shelly Matlock

Stayed for one night whilst visiting the giant forest at sequoia national park. It's a basic motel but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Rooms are dated but a decent size and clean. Wifi works well and decent choice of cable tv. About 20 mins drive from the park entrance. Pizza restaurant and grocery store a few mins walk across the street. Nice free breakfast. Would recommend!

Stayed here for a night in February before a big hiking/camping trip up in Sequoia. They staff was friendly and welcoming. In the morning I noticed I forgot my toothbrush. I walked up to the desk and asked how much the toothbrush was in the convenience shop. The lovely woman at the desk said "I'll give you one for free." Very nice of her! They also let me park my jeep there for 3 nights while I camped out. Also the waffle breakfast was delicious!

Although housekeeping was a bit sloppy with our room, (no sheets on the sofabed, a glue-on fingernail on the carpet in front of the bathroom) I would recommend this place for anyone traveling up to the sequoias for a day trip. The room had a roll-in shower for my wheelchair bound father, and there was plenty of room to manuver his wheelchair and walker. The veiw out the back and front of the hotel is spectacular in the early spring, and the full breakfast was much appreciated due to the fact that there isn't really anywhere to eat in town. Nice little lawn for the service dog to-um- service, and staff was good about helping us out when we needed it.

Room Tip: When booking a ground floor suite, be prepared for overhead noise. A herd of elephants booked the r...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for writing a review for us and I do apologize for our housekeeper who obviously missed the fingernail and the sheets for the sofa bed. I will bring that to the head house keepers attention so that the maid in question can have some re training. We do see every review as an opportunity to improve.

Im happy to hear your father had the room he needed and everything else was accommodating to your stay with us. I do remember you and as a compliment, your 2 service dogs where so well mannered and so beautiful. We wish you and your dad all the best and hope to see you again here at our property.

We had a lovely stay over our spring break road trip from Colorado. The hotel was close to the Sequoias snd walking distance to a market and pizza place where we had dinner. Katie the hostess was very friendly, and when we left an iPad under the bed and called about it 2 days later Amanda let us know it had been found and would make arrangements to mail it to us. We are grateful for lovely accomodations, and even more grateful for the honest and even lovlier staff!

We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites before entering the Sequoia National Forest, it was truly a very nice accommodation, the personnel was very helpful and courteous. A wonderful setting for the Nature lovers. The premises are in excellent condition and well kept. A heart warming breakfast in the morning to begin your day. Much more than other hotels we stayed at. For sure we will stay there again.

All the staff of this hotel were the most pleasant and helpful people we met on our trip. The hotel was clean and everything was in working order. Also we enjoyed a very good continental breakfast. We were in California to visit family and then went to see the Sequoia National Park. We were in Three Rivers, CA overnight about February 21, 2013.
