This review is for Dan and Sharon's cabin called the Sequoia River Cabin. I didn't see it listed on here so I am writing it under their B&B. This cabin is very overrated and the pictures are misleading. The cabin is not nestled in the woods like the pictures portray. Instead it is 15 feet from a busy road. Not private at all. We were charged a cleaning fee yet upon arrival at the cabin you can tell the place has not been kept up.Don't charge a fee if you're not going to clean the place! Keeping old food in the fridge is unacceptable on all counts. In addition, the place was full of dust, spiderwebs, and bugs in the microwave! The jacuzzi was virtually unusable because it was so filthy and I didn't want to take the chance by getting into it.
The yard which seems like it was be a peaceful place to sit outside and relax is completely overgrown and needs to be mowed tremendously. This place needs a complete overhaul and cleanup. It is clear that it has been neglected and it is definitely not worth the price.
We were ordered to pay by personal check or cash only before we even checked in to the cabin which seemed extremely shady to me. The owners wanted me to make out the check to them personally; not the business. I have never heard of such a strange request. Tax evasion perhaps?
Do yourself and your family a favor and stay in the National Parks. The money will go to a better cause.
