“Perfect place for gateway to Sequoia National park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2012

Great place to stay before you go to the park. Lovely spot by the river, comfortable house with lovely hosts. Nice bedroom with ensuite. Breakfast was great, French toast, sausages, yogurt, fruit, coffee and juice.

We had a lovely stay at the Sequoia River Dance. Sharon is a very friendly and helpful host, giving us advice about where to eat and what route to take into the park. The B&B is situated on the river and we enjoyed our time sat in the garden, enjoying the view and watching the wildlife. Our room was very nice, with an extremely comfortable bed. The food was delicious and it was nice to have breakfast sat around a big table with all the other guests, chatting. The location is perfect for visiting Sequoia National Park. We would highly recommend a stay here.

My family made a trip to the Sequoias for my son's spring break. We enjoy staying at B&B's and meeting new people, including the hosts. We were not disappointed with this trip, and it was certainly the best B&B experience we have had yet! Sharon and Dan were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond in every aspect of our stay. They were especially kind and patient with our 9 year old son. The food was fabulous (Sharon is a great cook!) and the rooms were lovely and clean. We especially enjoyed the daily snacks available after a long day hiking. They are situated on a residential street with a river directly behind their home and two decks with which to view the river and wooded areas. And luckily for us we enjoyed the other guests and getting to know them over breakfast. The only con with this experience (not the B&B!) was Three Rivers had zero good places to eat...the only slightly palatable place was the pizza joint, so be prepared for culinary disappointment. Also, river fishing was poor (evidently the Park Service does not stock). Other than that, a beautiful place to visit, and staying with Dan and Sharon truly made it a family experience! We will stay there again next time we are in Three Rivers.

We really appreciated the location which is next to a river on a residential street. The sounds of the river were ever-present and the feeling of being in the mountains was very relaxing. The service was good and Sharon was helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast and stay. They are pet friendly and this was an added bonus for us and our dog.

We usually stay at motels/hotels on weekend getaways, but this was our 19th anniversary and I thought I'd spoil the wife a little bit this past weekend. We were met by Sharon upon arrival and she immediately treated us like family, even though we have only met over the phone. Her place was beautiful and we stayed in the "Crescent Meadow", a nice room with a king size bed and a private bathroom. Even though we had to deal with a continuous rain all weekend, we weren't disappointed with just relaxing in the reading room and watching the creek flowing out back and wild wood ducks perched up on the banks. Throughout the grounds, large quail would scurry about, adding to the quiet and tranquility that made this such a wonderful weekend. Of course, no weekend at a B&B would be complete without a friendly group of people who were also staying for the weekend.
Sharon and her husband, Dan, cooked up some really delicious breakfast on both mornings of our stay and even gave out recipes. All in all, a great weekend and would highly recommend this B&B to any traveler that visits Three Rivers.

Room Tip: We chose the "Crescent Meadow", a modest room with a king size bed and private bath. The...

This is one of the best trips we have ever taken! It was so nice and peaceful. My girlfriend and I listened to the river as we sat on the porch and enjoyed a glass of wine. The nature surrounding is breath taking! Dan and Sharon are such great hosts that make you feel very welcome. One night they also cooked a delicious meal which included: Amazing homemade lasagna, with a refreshing salad. For desert, Sharon had made this mouth watering apple tart with fresh homemade vanilla icecream! We had also went to the National Park and found it to be snowing when we arrived near the top. We got a lot of great pictures and memories; we can't wait to go back!

This B&B has everything you could hope for.......truly a home away from home. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, the food is exceptionally good and the location right on the river rapids is perfect. The property is in the woods in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. The backyard is very large, sloping down to the river. There are several seating areas on the banks and the sound of rushing water soothes the soul. The hosts joined us at breakfast stimulating a lively conversation. They were full of information about the National Park and helped us plan our visit. Best of all for us (besides the location) was the warm welcome they gave our German Shepherd. If we had had one of the larger rooms looking out on the river it would have been a 10 instead of a 9 1/2.
