We didn't have a reservation, but we had the chance to get a room. We received a very nice welcoming, and we got the key at 10 AM for the coming night.
She spent a good night of sleep after a day at Sequoia National Park, very close to the motel !!
In the lobby , there is a library, if you forgot your book !!
And a good breakfast in the morning!!!

we reserved a room at the sierra lodge on our way to sequoia nat'l park. we arrived later than expected, about 11:45 pm, and when we pulled into the driveway, the lights were out and the sign said closed. i panicked; we have 3 small children and all hotels in the area were dark and looked closed! my husband got out to walk around and as he walked to the lobby, he was greeted by a very nice lady who called him by name and welcomed him in to check us in. she will never know how thankful i was to have her waiting for us and expecting us! we hadn't even thought to call, just assumed that the hotel lobby would be open whenever we got there! we also found that we had been upgraded to a suite room, which was an unexpected, although very nice surprise. the hotel is definitely older, seems maybe 70's era, but was clean and we had no problem with it. we had a king bed that was great, and a pull out couch for the kids. the room had a partition that separated the two rooms, which was awesome so that our baby could go to sleep in a separate room from us. there was a fridge and microwave which was great (don't know how we would have given our baby a bottle otherwise!) we could hear a television in another room, but it wasn't a bother. there was breakfast, oranges, coffee/hot chocolate/orange juice, pastries, and oatmeal. would have given 4 stars as it was a little on the dated side, but due to the kindness and availability of staff after hrs, bumped it up to a 5:) we would stay again for sure!

but needs a lot of work. It feels like someone cared about this place up until the early 90s, but then suddenly gave up. Illustrating my point, the lobby library didn't have one issue of "Time" magazine beyond 1995. And the Scooby-Doo villain they have working as a groundskeeper (although I suspect he's one half of the husband/wife tandem that run this place) is hella creepy. Apparently it would kill him to smile once in a while, but it was fun to watch him angrily dart here and there in his golf cart and rattle his ladder first thing in the morning.

Other than that, nice location with uncomfortable beds.

Spacious rooms, clean, 4 big fluffy pillows per bed, extra pillow and blanket in the room, TV, screaming fast WiFi. Typical motel breakfast (pastries, oranges, oatmeal, coffee, tea - they had hot chocolate!!!) but fresh and plentiful. Board games in hotel lobby. A/C unit in room difficult to set right - too hot or two cold. Very pleasant stay otherwise. Food within 2 mile drive, pizza at Pizza Factory is to die for.

Nice room, the only thing was the heater in the bathroom didn't work so it got a little chilly getting out of the shower but everything else was just right.
Friendly service, little breakfast included in the morning which wasn't much but the porridge & coffee us up for the day of mountain hiking ahead. Really lovely location with a really nice dinner just a walk away that you can get a very tasty and affordable breakfast/ lunch. Nice stay in a quaint little town full of interesting little shops and lots a nature!

Yes, it's a bit old-fashioned, shabby and run-down — and the breakfast (instant oatmeal: add your own hot water, and some small Danish) is pretty basic — but it's clean and quiet, the rooms are a decent size, and it's only a couple of miles from the Park entrance, which is why you're there...

There is not much to Three Rivers! The Sierra Lodge is located on the north edge of town - if there is an edge and around 3 miles from the entrance to the National Park. Hotel is well sign posted. Reception was efficient and friendly. We booked room 2 in the single story block and away from the road, looking out onto the country. Room had a king sized bed, which was very comfortable, a TV (with limited channels), fridge and coffee maker. Room was small and compact, had a table and chairs, drawers for clothes. It also had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The toilet was compact and between it and the bedroom was a very small room where the coffee maker was. The shower was small but OK. There was no microwave, but you can rent one, and if you need ice you have to go to reception. The A/C is a wall unit and worked rather well!!

The hotel had 6 bbq areas and 2 outdoor deck/seating areas. It also has a pool. Breakfast is in reception and is typical of what you get in motels.

The motel is a bit dated BUT, overall the accommodation was very acceptable. There is no restaurant/pub with in walking distance. Most folk staying there were en-route to the forest. Would I go back - yes!

Room Tip: Get a room away from the main road.
