“large family-friendly house, great for when visiting Sequoia”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2015

This is a great place to spend the night if visiting Sequoia with a large group.

I traveled with my wife, 2 kids and another married couple.

The 2 bedroom house was much larger than we anticipated. Large family room, dining room and kitchen on 1st floor, all bedrooms upstairs. Nice view of the wilderness out the window. Free Wi-Fi. Felt very private on the inside and neighbor noise was never an issue.

Management was friendly, nice, accommodating.

The place could use some remodeling as it seems quite old. Central heating was a kind of noisy and took long time to heat up 1 degree. Bathroom in-wall heaters are neat but so old.

Overall it was good and we'd go again I just hope that they would have the resources and will to re-model. But for the purpose of our trip it sufficed.

We love visiting Seqouia, King's Canyon, & Yosemite National Parks. We spent one night at this small lodge. Great service & cozy rooms. We loved the fireplace & location. Good, free continental breakfast too. Great restaurants & views in Three Rivers, CA, before you even get to the parks. Can't wait to return!!

We were happy with this place overall. The breakfast was basic but nice, room was a good size and yes a little outdated but for the money it really was quite good. And the bear we spotted is apparently a local so good chance of seeing him. (Down below the pool)

We stayed at the Sierra Lodge for two nights while visiting Sequoia and King's Canyon. The lodge itself is fairly decent, a little outdated but clean. Our room was a lot larger than we expected and it had a fireplace. Three Rivers is an okay size town. Good enough to find a decent place to eat and grab some groceries for your next day's hike. The hotel definitely met my expectations. Although if you are planning on visiting the parks, I'd strongly recommend paying a little more to stay in the parks. Sequoia NP is only a couple of miles away, BUT it's still an hour drive to get to the main sights of the park.

We stayed here for 2 nights to visit Sequoia NP. The location is good, just on the park side of Three Rivers and the town has adequate facilities for a short stay.
The hotel is rather run down and old but clean.
Our room was accessed by a spiral staircase to the upper floor landing (parking below) and backed onto the road to the park, which has a surprising amount of early morning traffic noise.
Regular continental breakfast in a small but comfortable reception area decorated in a 'mountain' style. A small pool on site.
Not a great place to stay but convenient and not expensive.

If I could give a 6 star rating I would give it. First, the basics. The room was clean and well maintained. They have a rustic feel which fits well with the mountain surroundings. The view is fantastic and it is close the Sequoia National Park.
What makes this place exceptional is its staff. While visiting the park we had car trouble and need to stay an extra night. The staff was not only friendly, they went out of their way to help us with the logistics of getting the car repaired. I can not say enough good about them. I recommend the Sierra Lodge without reservation as a nice, comfortable place to stay when visiting the beautiful scenery of the Sierra Mountains.
