“What a great find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2011

We were staying at a hotel in the area and saw a few good reviews that led us to this quiet corner in a strip mall. It was a great find and, as we learned, has a great history from the North End of Boston and is still family run.

We arrived just before closing and the staff were friendly, welcoming and didn't rush us as we enjoyed the terrific food.

“You Gotta Try the Fried Tomatoes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2011

We were a little leary about ordering the fried tomatoes as an appertizer even though it was recommended by a friend. Even the server recommended the fried tomatoes. We did and they were spectucular. I had a nice veal parm as an entree. My wife had the chicken & eggplant combo and was satisfied except for the small amount of eggplant. Overall the meal was very good!

“The North End Comes to Saugus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2010

Formerly of the North End of Boston, this restaurant is nestled in the corner of a small strip mall in Saugus. The menu is the same as what was served in the North End. Family owned and operated. The food is excellent. For appetizer, try the amazing fried tomatoes...four thick tomato slices breaded and fried then baked with a melted cheese and light red sauce. YUMMY. The shrimp scampi is delicious, about 10 medium size shrimps served in a zesty garlic sauce on toast and the combination eggplant and chicken parm dish is delicious. Homemade pasta is available. Next time I am trying the artichoke ravioli. Can't wait.
