Stayed here for a conference and had the most incredible experience.
Amazing staff where even the maintenance people say good morning.
Bell men went out of way to help me get luggage, send stuff up to my room, tape up oversize bag for flight to get the shuttle set up for my trip to airport.
Live music every night we were there (TH thru SUN)
Most delicious food, memorable wait staff, great coffee, food was reasonably priced and each a culinary piece of art (taste and display)
a little tough to navigate with construction and many stairs, but cozy and quaint overall.
room was clean and turn down service each day.
front desk incredibly helpful, great workout room, did not notice construction at all except occasional man in hardhat going to office. historic nooks made for great reading and meetup space all weekend. Great shower that was actually OVERhead instead of in middle of the back, deep tub, down comforter and a ton of pillows made it perfect for me.
Didn't turn on the tv once, but used in-room fridge and full size coffee pot each day. Room was brightly decorated and looked out to street shopping. Will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I have made the La Fonda our "go to" Hotel when we travel to Santa Fe. We first ended up in the La Fonda as a result of a spontaneous trip to Santa Fe, and the unavailability of rooms in the location we had previously stayed. The result was wonderful! Since that first experience, we have returned on two occasions and have enjoyed each one. We especially enjoy La Fonda as a couple's retreat, but took our family this past summer. The location is unbeatable, and the service is first class at every level. Several of our favorite restaurants have been discovered based on tips from the concierge, although you cannot go wrong eating in the La Fonda itself. Our 8 year old still talks about the pancakes he had.
The La Fonda is a wonderful experience that, at least for my family, is the epitome of Santa Fe.

Stayed here during a quick visit to Santa Fe. The hotel is wonderful - historic, beautifully decorated, nice amenities, and a friendly staff. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation, and as a result, they're offering some great rates. The work caused no inconvenience or disturbance while we were there.

Enjoyed the restaurants during our visit. One for drinks and the other for breakfast.

Stayed here during a meeting. My room was very dark with hardly any day light. There is a lot of construction going on in the building, therefore there was a constant noise level during the day. There are better options in town.
