“Quiet Location But Close to Everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

We stayed here on 2 different occasions on our trip to Phoenix. The best part about this location is that it is close to many shops/restaurants and it is a convenient short trip to The Plaza. Breakfast is standard hotel hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles). One thing that is a positive and negative is that the hotel sits off the main road. Therefore, it is quiet for a great night's sleep, but because of Santa Fe signage regulations, it is hard to see when driving down the street. So be very observant when trying to locate it the first time.

Room Tip: East side of hotel is away from the main road, but neither side of hotel should be a problem for a q...

When you first pull in, the surrounding area looks sort of run down but once you are installed in one of their very comfy rooms you see why this is one of Albuquerque's highly rated hotels.
The deluxe King suite I stayed in was nice and roomy, good sized bathroom, very quiet at night...didn't hear hallway noises or other guests. Beds & bedding were extremely comfortable.
The complimentary breakfast was on the meaty side...bacon, sausage, gravy, scramble eggs...but they also had cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastry, waffles for people like me who don't do meat.
Staff was all friendly and welcoming.
One thing I wish they and most other hotels would do is switch to DIRECT TV!
Their cable was not much to write home about. Other than that it was a great stay.

We were driving up from Arizona and decided to stop in Santa Fe for the night and found a
coupon for the Comfort Suites so decided to give it a try. It was a great choice. Front desk staff
was very friendly and helpful. The suite was excellent. The hot breakfast in the morning was a great start for the day and the young lady that was the hostess was just wonderful, she made sure there was always food available for everyone. I would definitely stay at this motel again on my travels.

Although it would have been nice to be near the city center, we were looking for something more affordable. The rooms we had were freshly renovated, clean, and spacious. The decor is very nice, the staff is friendly, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The breakfasts have a decent variety, but the room they serve it in is small and it's difficult to manuever around all the other guests. They could use another waffle maker too as there was often a line for it. The double pane windows in one room had a leak and the condensation and dirt made the view not so nice, but then again, it overlooked the parking lot. In the other room a large tarp had blown into the trees and obstructed that view and we did let the management know, but nothing was done about it. Apparently maintenance or housekeeping absconded with the shower curtain while we were out and we didn't notice until the following morning, which actually was kind of funny and a big mystery to those at the front desk. Overall, it's a good pick and hope to stay there again next year.

Dear Itinerantb,

Thank you for your feedback and 4/5 rating! We are happy that our accommodations were to your liking. That's very odd about the shower curtain! I will bring up all of your points to management, and we look forward to serving you again the next time you are in town.

Very pleased with hotel stay. Hotel is located on the outside of town so its not real close to the city plaza but Santa Fe is small enough to quickly get to where you need to be. We were in town to ski so it was only another 10 minute drive to get there. Staff was friendly and helpful and rooms were good size. Not much of a suite area but the pull out sofa was very convenient for our extra kid to use. Breakfast was typical for chain hotel but did have hot items. Would stay there again if we return. Great value overall

I arrived several hours earlier than check-in time, and the staff graciously found a clean room for me and allowed me to check in. The room was spacious, clean, and the microwave and refrigerator came in VERY handy. I had a good wi-fi conection, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet; staff was very attentive and accommodating.

The breakfast had a good variety of food, and was much appreciated. I've stayed here before, and will definitely stay here again.

Most important, we were clean and safe. The beds were good...the sofa mattress wasn't. The pool is salt water. Kind of a shock when you first dive in. We got back at 6 for our second night, and the carpet in the hall had been removed. No warning or anything. Kind of odd. The breakfast was OK. Egg pucks, sausage, and some bread and pastries. The desk clerk was restocking the breakfast room, and cleaning the tables. As I said, everything seemed clean, the place was just missing some of the polish we expected from Santa Fe.

Dear Hiccup1,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and for rating us 4/5! We're glad to hear that the cleanliness of our hotel met your standards and that you were able to feel comfortable and safe throughout your stay. I will notify management & housekeeping about checking the sofa mattresses as well as procedures that will less likely interrupt our guests (i.e., the missing carpet), and I do apologize.

We hope our guests enjoy our salt water pool, & that it is much gentler on your skin and eyes. This is why we chose to go with salt water & chlorine generator to extract from the salt itself, rather than the traditional pre-packaged chlorine and other chemicals.

Thank you again, and we value your feedback!
