“You get what you pay for here.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

I grabbed my son and took off for a weekend ski trip at Taos. I used priceline to secure a $45 winning bid for this room, so its hard to argue with the quality. We were only there to sleep and shower anyways... The rooms are outdated, the sheets were itchy, and like one of the other reviews, my room also had missing pictures. The free breakfast was not too bad. It was a continental style and did not have any eggs or sausage, but again, what do you expect for $45 a night. I have paid more for breakfast alone. Either way, I would say that if your looking for a cheap weekend place to lay your head, then its not too bad.

What are you doing hanging out in the room anyways!!!

Oh and by the way, Google Maps are a little misleading, you cannot enter the hotel from the main road, you must turn in by the office supply place to get there..

Though the rate for the room was great, the carpeting, bedding and furnishings left much to be desired! "Art" had been removed and not replaced on the walls, leaving the screw upon which it had been hung, the scratches in the paint from placement just screaming that this was a room that shouldn't be occupied by guests. The bedding was cheap and laundered such that all one could do is itch all night, which I suppose is fine because the wafers provided as pillows couldn't lead to comfort for all but the walking dead. The light fixture in the bathroom was meant to hold 4 bulbs, but only one bulb was even present. The press board "vanity" and long hairs laying on the floor went nicely with the subdued lighting. With a loveseat that I wouldn't sit on, carpet that was well beyond needing cleaned or replaced, the best thing I can offer is that the small kitchen could be a welcome amenity for those wanting/needing to travel on a very restricted budget. Would I stay there again even if free? No, I don't think so.

Room Tip: Value is a combination of the price and quality of accommodations. In this case, I'd definitely...

I was torn between giving this an average or very good rating. Why? Because the facilities are average, but for Santa Fe, it is a bargain. Santa Fe is expensive. This place is very reasonable in price, and although it is nothing to rave about, it is adequate. If you are in Santa Fe to experience it's charm and the surrounding area and don't plan to spend lots and lots of time in your room, this is a good solution. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, the kitchen helps if you want to keep some food. I saw a complaint about the beds. Mine was just fine. The place was quiet. Not outstanding, but for me, it was not at all depressing. Yes, I will stay there again.

The complex is located in a shopping mall with choices for dining. There was an Albertsons (super market) with Starbucks inside. The complex looks better on the outside than it does on the inside.

Our room was 417, a ground floor two queen bed room located in building 4 right behind the lobby.

The room was not very well lit and small. It has a full kitchen with utensils and dish washing detergent. The kitchen area was very well lit but not too much light spills over into the room. The good thing is the second sink on the outside. There was also a coffee/tea maker.
The bathroom shower/tub is scratched and rusted in some areas making it feel worse than it is. There are bathroom amenities including hairdryer.

There is free WiFi but I didn't use it because it was slow for some reason.
Breakfast was very bare. There was cereal, danish, two types of toast (wheat and french), coffee was like water and instant oatmeal. The second morning the instant oatmeal was not replenished. In the juice machine, there is a spout for water which you can fill your water bottle with.

Not a great personable person at check-in. The room was ok, but the refrigerator made an extremely loud clunking sound every time it turned off. It stopped and I was able to fall asleep but woke up at 1:30, I'm sure due to that noise. Finally, at 4am, I took my food to the car since it was freezing outside and turned it off. The TV was really old and had horrible contrast, so the picture quality was poor and the pillows were terrible too. Probably won't stay here again, there's too many other nice hotels.

I was driving across the country and was looking for inexpensive hotels with comfortable beds. Santa Fe Suits is an inexpensive place. However, beds were dated and really uncomfortable. A pillow reminded me a roller coaster. If you are looking for a good night sleep - avoid this hotel. Otherwise, it's a decent place for the money.

This hotel was terrible. The courtyard on their website did not exist. There is no lobby and no comfortable chairs in any room. The rugs are filthy. People live in this hotel full time and it is more like a shabby apartment complex. The manager is rarely in the office, so it is run by the desk clerk of the day...the night clerk is nice to some and very rude to others. Just a terrible experience and it ruined my vacation.

Room Tip: You cannot get a good room here.
