“Do the Spa”

Always a relaxing time. If you a dog ask for the room with gated patio. You can enjoy wine on your own patio and your pets can hang with you, without a leash. Great in the summer for easy access to to pool. And ask for spa deals when you check in. Two of us usually do two treatments each and a nice discount is offered, when asked.

The Loretto is a lively, excellent hotel with gorgeous and comfortable rooms, excellent room service and terrific food. Much of central Santa Fe is within easy walking distance. I would definitely stay here again and heartily recommend it. The Loretto really exudes individual, regional character.

We were in Santa Fe just for the day. After a long day of walking around seeing wonderful art, churches, etc, we went into the Loretto lounge. What a great thing to do! We sunk into the beautiful comfy leather couch, sitting by a beautiful burning fireplace, and had a great glass of Pinot Noir with their special spiced peanuts, made in-house. After a long relaxing conversation, we headed back out for more looking around town. Stopping into a little cafe for dinner, my companion suggested we were in the wrong place. I asked "where to?" and when she suggested we go back to the Loretto lounge, we both smiled. Back there, I had a delicious grilled salad (would love another one just like it) and she had a buffalo burger. And we sat and listened to a wonderful singer/guitar player. Delightful. Give it a try, or at least stop in.

Lovely hotel. The restaurant is excellent. The staff is professional and friendly. Have to agree that having the closet in the bathroom was a bit strange and awkward (had to be sure the closet door was closed in order to open/close the bathroom door. Our room had no balcony to speak of and no view. Keep in mind daily resort fee and daily parking fee. Location in Santa Fe very good with no traffic noise. We used a living social certificate and felt that cost was appropriate. Regular room rates are high, but worth the splurge if you get a room with a usable balcony and a view. Had dinner at luminaire twice and lunch once..food and service are very good. Had one dinner with a new baby and the staff was very accommodating.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a usable balcony and view if that is important to you.

The location for the Inn and Spa at Loretto was so accommodating for a Santa Fe old town stay. Everything was within walking distance with a feeling that the history and culture of this city surrounded your visit. The Inn was beautiful carrying the character through our room with its kiva fireplace (candle lit) and balcony view of the hills. We went in October as the trees were changing - breathtaking. We had morning coffee on our balcony.

This was our second trip to Santa Fe and we chose Inn and Spa at Loretto because of its reputation and location.
Rooms were great. Staff were mostly very good. Facilities were great.
When next we head that way, we will surely stay here again.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

We stayed for 6 nights in late October. Breakfast and lunch in Luminaria restaurant were excellent and the staff were very pleasant and efficient. Our room was very spacious with a very comfortable 4 poster bed. However, despite the large room there was almost no storage space in the bedroom and we thought it was very peculiar that the wardrobe was in the bathroom!! Not only that but the wardrobe had very awkward folding doors immediately behind the bathroom door. There was hardly any shelf space in the small bathroom although there were 2 wash basins. We were not too keen on the communal balcony either with other guests walking past our room. On the plus side the room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The air conditioning unit was noisy. We enjoyed the shops in the hotel complex. The location was great for exploring downtown Santa Fe.

Room Tip: Rooms facing pool were quiet
