“BEST HOTEL ON THE PLAZA HANDS DOWN!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

My wife and I celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary here and LOVED every minute of it. The location and quality of this hotel are second to none. GORGEOUS building and the valet option a major plus. The entry is beautiful and the front desk people a delight. The downstairs bar is FABULOUS with southwestern decor and comfy chairs and couches (the fireplace is cool too). The pool is just through the door there and a refreshing way to cool off - right off the plaza which is impressive. The green garden near the pool area is tranquil and it doesn't even feel like your downtown plaza area.

The room was to die for. Seriously, I work in the Hotel Industry and this was by far the best room I have ever stayed in. It was HUGE! and BEAUTIFUL... and FANCY! This suite had it's own fireplace and leather couches. The PATIO, which was huge, could have fit 50 people! Great views of St. Francis and the surrounding mountain range in the distance. The bed PERFECT. 2 LCD TV's! The bathroom had a separate room for toilet with 2 huge his and hers sinks. A WALK IN shower! The fridge was also stocked with a variety of items including pop, juice, beer and a very fine selection of liquor. Bottom line, a great location, a great room, and the people were great. What more can you ask for?

We had breakfast at Luminaria downstairs. This is a great restaurant on its own, but the patio was the BOMB! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous outside patio. Probably one of the best spots in all of Santa Fe. Beautiful trees, and flowers, and tables, and ambiance. SERENITY. The service was fantastic and the food even better. It's Santa Fe so it is $$ but well worth it (do different than anyone else). Some tables are under the sun and some are under canopies which make this place OFF THE HOOK!

I HIGHLY recommend the Inn & Spa at Loretto. It is all Santa Fe and it's convenient location and quality makes it a place I will ALWAYS stay at.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, ask for a suite upgrade

Great property (two or three blocks from the plaza and other historical sites and museums). All the amenties one would expect from a 5 star hotel. The restaurant and lounge offered great food and drinks at competitive pricing within Santa Fe area and comparable fine dining restaurants. Guest rooms are large , well maintained and decorated in the Santa Fe style. Staff are welcoming, and efficient from your first contact thru your check out.

We loved the hotel...right in the center...beautiful lobby and common areas....great restaurant, too. But our stay was not without issues.

The first was that our room had no chest of drawers or closet in the room---and it was a Superior King room, not the Standard King room. The only place to put clothing was in the bathroom in a hanging closet. There were no shelves, drawers or furniture for clothing anywhere. So we had to live out of our suitcases. Also, there was only one nightstand for our bed, so one of us had to use a makeshift chair to place things bedside.

The other issues were with front desk staff. They did not try to help us get another nightstand, and were not at all accommodating in regards to it. They just told us to call Housekeeping, who were of no help. Also, they would NOT honor the current hotel rate for our first night, even though it was lower than the previously quoted price at the time when we made the reservation. And finally, they would NOT honor the advertised AAA rate posted on their website. They said they would check with management about that, and never got back to us.

Room Tip: just be sure to ask if there is a dresser and two nightstands in your room

I went on a girlfriend trip with 8 friends and we are still talking about it! This hotel was wonderful in every way.
I week or so before our arrival, the concierge called to make sure we got the restaurant and attraction reservations we wanted. It was great and a good idea because in addition to the NewMexico Jazz Festival, the Spanish Market was taking place during our stay.
The hotel is beautiful, great rooms and an unbeatable location-we walked to everything. Also took the pedicab a couple of times just for the fun of it

Hotel arranged everything including the secure receipt of my fedex package and the return of my luggage home.

Great destination and fabulous hotel.

We stayed for three nights in late June. The good news is that the hotel is in an outstanding location and the pool area was small but relaxing. The bad news was that the room was not well kept and the common hallways were not cleaned regularly. Our room had a broken night stand and a deck that had not been stained or finished in years. The hand rails had bird droppings and splintering wood. The deck furniture needed to be covered in towels if you wanted to sit on them. Otherwise it would have torn your clothing. In addition the hallway had the same used room service leftovers sitting on a hall table for all 3 days.

Also be very careful of their online offerings. Check-in was completely unaware of the free upgrade offer that I booked under. When i mentioned it, they said there was no such thing. When I showed it to them online, they said it was based on availability and they had none. The hotel was empty...makes me wonder.

For the price you could do a lot better but the hotel had nice features. The restaurant was good but the lobby bar was way overpriced (18 dollars for a measured poor of a common 30 dollar a bottle bourbon). Santa Fe is a great place but I would try another hotel.

We checked in for two nights at this hotel. Valet service was great, check in was average af the most . I find that if this inn charges the way it does it should pay more attention to detail. We never got key for mini bar at check in, had to call back up for that. In a great place our bell man would have gotten some ice for us, but again we had to call back up for this. TV in our room was not working( they did end up fixing this). I read the comments about the rooms, I thought they were fine and keeping with the architecture. The restaurant gets great reviews, and yes the food was good. I found the service in need of a little help. Not as Proffesional as this restaurant requires.

We (3 colleagues from Norway) stayed here for one night from 29. - 30.07.2012.

Santa Fe is a very different state capital city, and New Mexico should be proud of this! We stayed in this typical (and quite expencive) Santa Fe hotel in the city center. The straff is polite and efficient. The room was OK, but it was the external apperiance that impressed us. I Will recommend this hotel, but negotiate the rates.
