“Best Spa Ever!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

I had the best massage and facial here ever! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the spa is breathtaking with all Santa Fe old world charm and most luxurious amenities. They carry great skin care products. The Spa is a must if you are visiting Santa Fe! Highly recommended by a spa junkie :)

This is our third stay at The Inn at Loretto. Needless to say we love it. The service gets better each time we stay. We had a few issues on our first stay and the GM Stefan Huber was very fast to rectify them. Since then everything has been perfect and his staff continues to get better and better. The rooms are not overly large depending on which one you get, however most rooms in Santa Fe are small do to the age of most of the buildings. They are well appointed and the beds are very very comfortable. Our room had a balcony which was very nice. All the common areas are beautiful in a funky Santa Fe kind of way. We ate at Luminaria again and it is still a wonderful restaurant. Worth a dinner even if you stay elsewhere. The lounge is comfortable with a roaring fire and live music on the weekends. The location is ideal-just an easy walk to the square and just down the street from The Pink Adobe. We will be back-Stay here when in Santa Fe-you won't regret it.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room.

I did a lot of research before we chose the Loretto. Thought I made a good decision until we walked into the dark lobby. They were prompt getting bags to the room, which we appreciated. But, we paid extra for the balcony room....which was a tiny non-private space. And it was the only source of light in the room. It felt like a dark cage. If you want light and views, this is not it! The room was in need of a little attention, cracking walls, dirty corners, just felt a little worse for the wear! We checked out after one night, and for the same cost got a wonderful casita from twocastitas.com - try the EL Caminito casita! This is living in Santa Fe! Same cost and a place with a gourmet kitchen, charming fireplaces, bright living room....heaven! Ditch the loretto!

I only stayed here one night for a business meeting. It was a lovely and atmospheric place, and I hope to return one day for a longer and more leisurely experience.

Room Tip: Some rooms have fireplaces.

This was our second visit to the Inn and Spa at Loretta. The location is great and the hotel is quiet and relaxing. We had dinner in the lounge twice, and an abbreviated selection of foods is available from the award winning Luminaria restaurant. I highly recommend the tortilla soup! Our room had a balcony, which is a plus, but it was a bit chilly for that during our stay. We were always out of our room--around 9:30--before housekeeping knocked on our door, and our room was cleaned before we returned in the afternoon. There is "turn down" service with complimentary water. There is no coffee maker in the room, but complimentary coffee is available in the restaurant. The hotel has had a recent renovation, so everything is tasteful and clean. The staff is extremely accommodating--especially the valet parking attendants. There is a lack of counter space in the bathroom--but this is not a major issue. The beds are "to die for"--sooooo comfortable! We highly recommend this hotel, and we will come back every chance we get!

The Inn and Spa at Loretto has many attractive qualities: great location; lovely common areas, shops, and restaurants; spacious, comfortable rooms with charm and tasteful decor (though a little light on the bathroom amenities, i.e. insufficient counter space, no shower cap); good housekeeping; friendly and helpful staff. Having said that, the $18 per day parking fee and the $14 per day so-called "Hotel Services Fee" added to an already not inexpensive room rate was just too annoying to bear repeating. We'll be returning to The Inn on the Alameda next time where parking is free, an excellent full breakfast is included, wine and cheese are served in the afternoons, and the rooms are just as lovely and spacious.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a patio/balcony.

I would like to thank you for listing our “attractive qualities” and for taking the time to share your thoughts about the Inn and Spa at Loretto. Please know that The Inn’s service fee of $14.00 per day covers our highly popular services such as, hotel-wide wireless internet access, local, credit card and toll-free telephone calls, morning newspapers, and in room coffee and tea. In addition, the fee covers gratuity for room attendants, our morning coffee station, fruits at the front desk, access to our daily cooking, mixology, and spa demonstrations, access to our fitness and business centers, and water upon request at departure.

Our policy is that our front desk and reservations team members explain the above to our guests during check in and at the time our guests make their reservations. I regret this may not have happened in your case. Please accept my deepest apologies. We’d love the opportunity to have you as our guest again. Please feel free to contact me directly.

Sincerely,

Quintessential Santa Fe at it's best. Southwestern decor, nicely appointed rooms, in a great location. Walking distance to Canyon Road and the center of town.
