These appear to be individually owned condominiums being rented out like hotel suites. The unit we stayed in, #84 is old, with old carpet, old appliances, old bed spreads, old everything. Good location, friendly and helpful management, but terribly disappointing accomodations. Other units may be better, but I would at least avoid this particular one, clearly not worth anywhere near their rack rate of $225 .

unlike some other reviews, we found our accommodations at the fort marcy suites to be very enjoyable. our 1 bedroom suite had a large livingroom, fully stocked kitchen, and a bedroom with a king size bed. we had wonderful views of the mountains, and our unit was right across the street from the state park. the office manager, jason, was extremely curtious and helpful with all our needs. of course there is always a downside, and ours was that we did not have wireless internet service in our unit. we were able to use our laptop in the hospitality room and we also had the use of the computer in the office area. unfortunately, the office closes at 7:00 pm, so the only way to connect when the office is closed is to sit in your car, outside of the office. i was told that several of the 2 bedroom units have wireless service. since the fort marcy is a condotel, each unit is owned by a different owner, so not all of the units have the same ammenities. the fort marcy is a short walk from the historic area, and is located at the highest part of santa fe, making the mountain and valley views absolutely fantastic.

It was the perfect place, just be sure an get room # 53. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a cute fireplace plus a beautiful view. I would stay again & again. Loved the location, very quiet, grocery store near by, but the best was the location and the view. Everyone is very nice. The only thing that was wrong, the dryer did not work.

The pictures available for the suites must show only the very best of the best. Disappointing! We felt deceived.

The location of our one-bedroom suite for the first night was like being in a cave. The queen bed was hard as a rock with obvious and deep body impressions. It was not very clean. We expressed our disappointment to the manager the next morning, who very graciously moved us to a room that was much better for the remainder of our stay.

There is no wireless network available in the rooms. Bad advertising!

The final insult - on the day we were to check out (11AM checkout), the maid knocked on our door at 9AM while we were showering, etc., to ask when we would be leaving. At least call!!

We got the room through Expedia for pay-one-night, get one free. Can't imagine anyone paying full price. Definitely a 2-star location at best.
