“needs renovation”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

The price was great but this hotel badly needs renovation - very worn carpets, some weary furniture, water stains by the AC/heating vents, very noise heating system, thin walls (lots of noise from neighbors). The beds were comfortable and nice, though. Breakfast was okay but nothing special - down a long and very cold hallway to get to the breakfast room. Next time, I think I'd pay more to stay somewhere nicer.

Room Tip: There's no elevator, so if stairs are a problem be sure to request a room on the 1st floor.

“Charged Twice, Noisy Room, Stale Smell”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Even though I booked this room through Expedia, and paid for the room through Expedia, the folks at Quality Inn also charged me for the room. They claim this almost never happens, but if you don't check your credit card charges closely, as I do, you could easily overlook this double charge. The room was very noisy. My neighbors had their TV set going all night. The room Smelled, and it had no air conditioning. This place is a DUMP!

Room Tip: Avoid this DUMP

“DO NOT STAY HERE!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

When I checked in after hauling my heavy luggage up the stairs (no elevator) I had to haul it down again and get a different room because the AC didn't work. They had garbage stored by the stairs. The hall carpet is filthy! Hotel staff is dishonest. Everything about this place is dated and needs attention. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY!

“One star is too much”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

We travel all over the US and I have to say this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in by far. We booked on line through Choice Hotels.com as we have done many times. When we got to the room it was extremely hot turned on AC and all we got was heat. Called the front desk and was told the AC is off for the year you can only get heat It was 80 outside didn't need heat. We were on the first floor and we could open the sliding doors. About 40 yards away from us was a hotel with a building permit sign in the window there were people (I use that word litely) staying there and walking the streets. About 10:30 fights broke out and language that no one should be forced to hear. I was waiting for gunshots next. The breakfast was awful. The bis units were so hard you couldn't cut them even after putting sausage gravy on them. The sausage was dried out. I hate a hard boiled egg and yogurt. They couldn't do much to that. Sadly we booked two night and we are stuck. The bedding as far as I could tell was clean as was the shower. Not looking forward to our stay the second night, also in the workout room the treadmill was out of order.

Room Tip: Even though it says wifi, hot breakfast, king size bed and smoke free, work out area which are our re...

“Do Not Stay Here”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

We had reservations for 3 rooms for 3 nights during the Baloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. Sorry we stayed here. The place was not clean - the floors needed vacuuming, the bathrooms were not particularly clean, and the place just had a general look of needing a good scrubbing. The patio doors in my room did not open and the security door near us did not close properly. The breakfast was okay - however they did not bother to replenish when things ran out and there were no hotel staff in sight (ran out of coffee on day 2, ran out of biscuits on day 3). In addition, the desk staff was definitely not welcoming - not rude, but definitely acted as if they would rather be somewhere else. Will never stay here again - may not stay at any Quality Inn after this experience.
