“Sept visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

We stayed here for 4 days at the end of a 2 week vacation to relax. Great location, wonderful grounds, clean, interesting, fireplace room (gas, flames smaller than my Weber grill). Way too much large furniture, hard to get out of bed on one side (room 242) I moved the chair near the door every day, the cleaning staff moved it back everyday..Almost pushed it outside..would have been nice to have potted plant or something on our patio. Convention going on the 4 days we were here. We did not get the upgrade we hoped for, We could not eat on the patio for breakfast and one dinner because it was reserved for the group. Had to wait for breakfast 25 minutes one morning even though there were plenty of tables outside..Staff and management needs to remember to take care of guests other than the groups...It would have been nice to have been offered something..."sorry for the inconvenience, have a scone on us" All in all we will stay here again, but only after making sure no group meetings are there at the same time...

I liked this hotel, but I feel I must share my experience. When we checked in, our room was very close to the outside restaurant. We did book an entry level room, so I wasn't shocked. However, the door is glass with a pull down shade and you can always see the outside and vice versa, so you really never have any privacy. The carpeting looked so dirty and dingy. I felt the room was pretty depressing. We did ask to change our room and I must say we were given a nice room closer to the parking lot. It was a lot cheerier, but again, the carpet was old and dingy. The hotel really needs to buy new carpeting because it makes the rooms looks dirty even though they aren't.

Room Tip: Don't go for the entry level rooms.

I have been to this hotel before, but this time nothing was the same. At check in they lost the reservation which was very upsetting. I had to change rooms, the first one was not acceptable. The service in general was lacking. The weather was terrible, not the fault of the hotel, but We were so disappointed in general with this hotel. They gave us a free dinner because of the problems. The breakfast was fine, but pricey. The check in person said ,you booked with expedia and I answered is that a punishment. The experience here was not good.

Room Tip: near the hot tub

During a 5 day hotel stay, small glitches may appear. The exceptionally caring service of Managers Mary and Eduardo rectify any concern that a traveler may encounter. On top of that, the property is charming, the real wood firepaces create a great ambiance, in three days of breakfasts and one dinner, each course was delicious. From the parking attendants, to the wait staff to managers Mary and Eduardo, the service was warm and wonderful. I would not hesitate to stay her again.

Located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, this lovely hotel is designed in the authentic adobe architectural style. There is a relaxing spa, lovely outdoor pool, beautiful outdoor terrace dining, and an historic main building that serves as the hotel reception with dining rooms, meeting rooms and cozy bar.
Since Santa Fe is a major art center with many art galleries, the hotel displays art work from local artists that is available for sale. The town is walkable and easily accessible from the hotel entrance. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the food excellent, and the southwest atmosphere make this a wonderful enchanting resort.

Room Tip: All the rooms are unique and some offer fireplaces, patios, or beamed ceilings in the authentic New...

We went to this resort for a wedding nearby. It is a well-kept, attractive place only a few blocks from town. It is an interesting town with no shortage of lovely things to purchase. In addition, at least while we were there in late August, local native Americans set up their wares in town. There was also an art show and a great fair going on. One more thing about the town - we didn't find one bad restaurant. We were pleased with every meal we purchased and the prices are better than in NY. As for the hotel, the room was decent size - not large. The only closet was in the bathroom. There is a fireplace. The room was clean but I was not impressed with housekeeping. There was supposed to be turn down service but of the 3 nights, that happened once (which we really don't care about anyway). Housekeeping arrived late. Once they came at 3:30 while we were changing for the wedding so we told them not to come in. Other people complained of the same thing - leaving their rooms in the morning and coming back at around 3 to relax at the pool and the room was still not made up. I liked the spa treatment I received and thought the treatment was very professionally done. In addition, they didn't push me to purchase anything at the end, which I find to be very unusual but refreshing. The spa treatment is not cheap but I enjoyed the spa. The pool was nice and the young woman in charge was wonderful and aware of everyone around. She brought over an ice water with lemon to every person who came in while she was also bartending. We only had breakfast here so I couldn't comment on the restaurants, but the breakfast was good and wasn't any more expensive than breakfast in town. The 2 concierges I spoke with were always warm and helpful. There is an SUV that will drive you to locations within 2 miles of the resort but there may be a wait at times but it is a nice convenience.

We drove up for a quite weekend. The resort is located within walking distance from the plaza. The food was good. They have a nice salt water pool/hot tub. A few pool toy around for kids. Also they have a nice steam room.

The hotel room is okay. It is nothing more than average at best. THE BED IS THE WOREST BED I HAVE EVER SLEPT IN AT A "LUXURY HOTEL". At 400.00 a night with tax, will not return, just due to the actual mattress. We actually both woke up in the middle of the night sore and rolling around. The suite was nice size.

After such a pool night sleep, we did not hang around. We packed up and moved on down the road.

Room Tip: Ask where the new mattress are located
