“Great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

My husband and I went to Santa Fe to celebrate New Years. We stayed two nights in a third floor room overlooking the beautiful pool/spa area. I can't say enough good about this hotel but let me give you a few reasons why. The room was extremely clean and well equiped. I loved the location of the safe, it was in a drawer next to the refrigerator. Many probably overlook this and don't realize it's there. The outdoor hot tub was perfect at night! It was so cold outside but the temperature of the water was just right. We sat in front of the outdoor fireplace each night before and after dinner. This is one of my favorite parts of this hotel. Location, Location, Location..... We never moved our vehicle. We walked everywhere. Word of advise...SF is not for young children. We saw many parents struggle with strollers and children. For the most part the plaza is all about High End Dinning, Shopping and Amazing Gallaries. The check in and out was simple and very quick. The staff was excellent! From Carlos at the front desk to the maintenance man who lit the fireplace each night. I wish I would've gotten the security guards name that brought us beverages to the hot tub on New Years Eve! He went way above and beyond and really wow'd us. With so many restaurant options in the plaza we did not eat on property so unable to give feedback there. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay, look no further book the Hilton Santa Fe Plaza!

Room Tip: High floor courtyard/pool view

Ah, the luminaria, the Margaritas, the walk on the Chamisa Trail, a Christmas Day hike in Tent Rocks, an array of sophisticated restaurants, an array of great dives, and the convenience and comfort of the Hilton Santa Fe. It was a magical week.

Similar to a Motel 6, not an impressive Hilton property. good location close to historic area but rooms and lobby are less than desirable. Poor lighting in rooms. Front desk staff could be more friendly. Wish we had chosen another hotel in the area.

I do apologize... based on your comments I am not sure what went wrong, please feel free to call me if you would like to discuss this further ... we do value feedback. The vast majority of our guests love the new renovation and our new services ...none the less we failed to meet your expectations, and again I am sorry. I do hope you will give us another chance.

Hotel staff was very friendly, and caring. Rooms were very clean. History of the hotel is very interesting. Sleep quality is average due to difficulty of 2 adults sleeping on a double bed. Breakfast was great, as Honors members we were upgraded to the full buffet which was great. The location is amazing, just a few blocks from everything!! Be sure to make a reservation for any restaurant you would like to have dinner at.

This location is really good for walking anywhere downtown or along Guadalupe towards the railyard. (Though I take my car if I'm going all the way to the farmer's market.) Our room faced Guadalupe and we heard no traffic noise at all during our visit the weekend before Christmas. We found the bed comfortable and slept well. The room furnishings were fine. We enjoyed the corner 'banquette' and table. The fridge kept our drinks very cold. However, the outlets on the nightstands did not work, so my phone did not charge the first night and we had to charge everything at the outlets on the desk. I also wasn't sure that the bedspread and blanket were washed between every guest, but I don't know. My husband thought they were fine, but I would have liked them to look fresher. Overall, a pretty good experience. We travel to Santa Fe often and will probably stay here again.

great location, very close to O'Keefe Musuem, the main strip and very walkable to some of the excellent restaurants the town has to offer.

Rooms are lovely and spacious and modern.Good products i mean, excellent, Peter Thomas Roth shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer the lot!

Staff are v. helpful and efficient.

Only reason why I give 3 stars is because

1. the pillows were too soft and bed was not as comfortable but I think if the pillows were firmer or came in the soft, medium, firm options, it might make sleep a lot better. For a high end hotel, I'd expect better pillows

2. If traveling with children, they do not offer roll away beds so we used the little sofa for the toddler but otherwise, i suggest getting 2 double beds.

3. Parking is not free and it seemed excessive given the amount of parking space available to the hotel property.

4. Wifi is NOT free. In this day and age, I'm still surprised hotels charge for wifi.

Overall I've paid a lot less in some higher end hotels and received more perks in comparison to my stay here.

Room Tip: Level 2 rooms are same level as lobby so you dont need to use elevators or stairs to carry luggage.

Thank you for the great feedback and suggestions. We do offer a selection of pillows on request and we need to make those selections more noticeable in our guest directory, great suggestion. And although we do not have rollaway beds, we do have adjoining rooms, something quite rare in Santa Fe and these rooms types may be reserved in advance, and often are for families. Charging for Parking and Internet is always a concern and one we are sensitive to, we have priced ourselves competitively in Santa Fe for both services... and do offer free Internet in both our newly remodeled Lobby and Business Center .. as well as in our Restaurants.

Thank you again for the great comments and suggestions ... we look forward to seeing you again in Beautiful Santa Fe.

We recently stayed at the Hilton Santa Fe just a quick little walk from the plaza. This is our second stay here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Remodeled since we last stayed there, we had a great room, the staff was delightful and the hotel is so convenient. The beautiful lobby fireplace was always burning and was a welcome sight as the temps were pretty cold when we were there. This hotel has been our place of choice in Santa Fe and will be again when we have a chance to go back to one of our favorite cities.
