“Hilton Santa Fe Plaza - A Great Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

Except for being charged for internet service, the Hilton Plaza Hotel in Santa Fe is an excellent hotel with great rooms, a beautiful lobby and an attentive, friendly staff. It was a great value for the price, except for having the add on of internet charges.

The Hilton is a block or so from the Santa Fe Plaza and has similar architecture and character. The lobby was very inviting and cozy with it's fireplace and comfy couches, and the rooms were very nice. The staff was extremely helpful and made suggestions on things to do, where to eat, etc.

My family and I really enjoyed the hotel - it had a great location near the downtown and it had the local architecture style but was a good price. The concierge was also very helpful. Rooms were newly renovated and comfortable.

Hotel staff is one of the most friendly and helpful I've ever encountered. Rooms are comfortable and I was able to request a microwave. I needed it because of dietary requirements. The hotel is only two blocks from the Santa Fe Plaza which makes it a desirable location.

If you want to feel special, have all the amenities, be close to all the interesting sites and shops, choose the Santa Fe Hilton. This hotel has outstanding personal service, beautiful rooms and all the extras. A pool, spa, workout room, business center and the best staff in the west.

The Hilton on Sandoval Street is an elegant hotel with premier service. I loved the Spanish architecture, the cozy lobby with fireplace, and the luxurious room. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be pampered. And it's only blocks away from the historic Plaza.

We recently spent a long weekend at the Hilton and we loved that it is located within walking distance (5 min) to most of our favorite Santa Fe places. It is right across the street from our favorite restaurant, D42, so enjoying a bottle of wine was a short walk home. It is close to the Santa Fe plaza, the Farmers Market, and all of the best restaurants, museums and shops. They have a nice fireplace in the lobby which is pure Santa Fe. They also have a cozy bar that serves food. They breakfast buffet is expensive ($15 PP) so it is worth the extra 10 dollars a day "breakfast for two" added to your room rate to get the full breakfast included. The downside is that that it is feels more like a Hampton Inn than a Hilton. The bed was not very comfortable, you can hear people talking in the hallway, the pipes and air conditioning were noisy at times, and the towels were cheap and scratchy. They don't give you any special perks for being a Hilton Honors customer other than reduced daily parking rates, not even bottled water in the room. The woman a the front desk was not friendly or professional, but the man the next day was very nice. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons because Santa Fe is all about walking around and soaking up the culture and the smell of pinion wood in the air.
