“Park your car and enjoy Old Town Sante Fe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

We were greeted and checked in promptly as our room was ready early.
The registration building is very welcoming, Southwest theme with four seperate cozy seating areas, internet area, coffe bar, exercise room and pool table.
We had a one bedroom deluxe, full kitchen, well supplied and a living area that was very comfortable for our evenings with our friends.
Third party wifi access in the units bothers me somewhat. Most other hotels across the nation offer free wifi.
However, they do have free wifi in the lobby on their two computers.

From this location you can easily walk to all the downtown museums and great restaurants. If you would prefer, they offer shuttle service to that main district, nice bonus

The staff at this place will not assist you in any way.
We arrived at 4pm, we didn't get into our room until 9pm.
This happened with 20 other people. The lobby was filled with impatient people as the front desk did nothing while they forced the support staff to prepare our rooms.

One of them left to get pizza!

THE REGULAR staff will not help you get checked in.

Thank you for submitting your review of our resort. At the Villas De Santa Fe, we always strive to deliver exceptional hospitality to each guest who stays with us. Please know that it is extremely rare that a guest’s customer service experience is not exceptional and that we sincerely apologize if check in was less than perfect. Our housekeeping staff works hard to ensure that all units are ready for the next guest in a timely manner. Your concerned feedback will help us improve practices and increase guest satisfaction for our future guests. No other reports of this incident have been brought to our attention. We hope that you would be willing to give us another chance to make a better impression on you in the future. Your business with us is appreciated and we wish you the best on all your future travels.

Villas de Santa Fe is perfectly situated, the rooms are large, and the furnishings are nice. It was great to have a separate bedroom and living room so that "he" could sleep in and I could enjoy my coffee and a magazine - a win:win! The neighborhood is safe and quiet and easy to access off of Paseo de Peralta which makes driving around convenient. If you like to stroll, the heart of Santa Fe is a lovely 8 minute walk away. If strolling is not your thing, they have a van service (plan $3-$5 tip each way) which will ferry you to and fro in air-conditioned comfort. So you can relax and have that second margarita :-)

For breakfast, you must try Clafoutis (5 minute walk which is easier and faster than trying to find parking in their lot). We also walked to fantastic and very filling afternoon tapas and sherry at La Boca (happy hour 3-5pm, half off their amazing tapas).

We would gladly stay here again and fully recommend Villas de Santa Fe.

We booked this room from a coupon online. The lobby is decorated in a Southwest theme with lots of fun perks like free juice, hot chocolate, coffee and a pool table. When we got to our room we found a cute, homey little suite with a fireplace and a ceiling fan over the bed that was impeccably clean. This would be a great place to stay for a week!

We purchased a coupon on-line and were encouraged by the reviews so scheduled our visit with another couple. The room is actually an apartment, large living room and fireplace, kitchen, dining room table, roomy bedroom, patio and nice finishes. Two panel TV's, great bathroom layout, allowing easy access from living room or bedroom and separate toilet/shower area. The staff is friendly and the check-in process was easy and quick. Parking is free and the hotel is a moderate walk to town or they have a shuttle that takes you in and picks you up on request. Plenty to do at the hotel also, with game room, fireplace, coffee, hot chocolate, tea and juice all day.

Our friends stayed on the fold out couch and said it was comfortable and warm. The room is quiet even though the hotel is near a main street with stores and traffic.

Only a couple of issues; you have to call a central reservation line to book the room and I was on hold for 30 minutes or so, which was ridiculous. The other thing is an extremely early checkout of 10 am. When we asked for just 30 more minutes we were told we would be charged a half-days regular rate. Check in is late afternoon and check out at 10am? It is more excessive than most places. The pool area is nice but pool and hot tub are small and should be updated, maybe with tile or something. Stained, repaired concrete isn't as attractive.

We would go back, given similar deal and value, but we wouldn't stay out late the night before check out!

Fantastic room and location!! Walking distance to the plaza and many great resturants!! Would stay and recommend this place again!! Only criticism would be the bed. Sat really low to the ground. Kitchen was nice and stocked with anything you needed if you were to cook.

Stayed here with wife and 2 yr old son. Suite with separate bedroom was great for us. Room was very clean and had nice kitchen. Flat screen the in both rooms with blue ray player in living room. Great value for Santa Fe with close location to plaza. Only criticism is that noise from other rooms and outside was a little louder than ideal but not too bad. Would definitely recommend and would stay at again.
