“Excellent stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

Aaron at the front desk was super nice and helpful. Accommodations in building 2 were great. Room spacious and clean. Stayed here on a Living Social deal, but would pay full price for this place. Thanks for a great stay!

The Villas were a great place to stay during our visit to Santa Fe. We had the one bedroom unit in Building 2 and we could not have had a better stay! Our room was clean and cozy with a great kitchen ( no oven) but a two burner stove ) complete with all kitchen amenties, even down to the corkscrew! The room had more than ample closet space, including some wire shelves outside of the bathroom area which were wonderul since you did not have to put stuff in the drawers and they were at eye level.

The staff was outstanding. Maria and Aaron and all the help could not have been nicer or friendlier. The property offers a free shuttle service (gratutieis welcome) to within a 3 mile radius. The staff is eager to help you get to downtown, eating, grocery shopping, etc. We used the shuttle several times because it was convenient and parking was not an issue. The staff made suggestions for our trip to Taos, for our dinners, for outings, etc. Visitors will be more than pleased with the staff. The club house has 24 hour coffee, juiice, tea, and hot chocolate. A cozy fireplace, library, and sitting area along with a fitness room, a billiard room and a laundry room rouind out the clubhouse amenities. There is also a communithy computer with printing facilities in the lobby as well.

The property is within walking distance of the plaza and the convention center. We often took the shuttle in the evening because we did not to walk home in the dark, but it was not a difficult walk.

The one bedroom unit is ideal for 2, but a little tight for 3 mainly because it is a little tricky making up the sofa bed because of the lights next to it.. With a little practice, we got it down. Also, when you open the fridge, the door hits one of the chairs around the table, so you do have to re-place the garbage can into the living room area just to make a little room. Don't know if the larger unit would have been better. But that was all minor compared to all the good things about the location. Would definitley recommend. We did not use the pool or the hot tub, so we cannot comment on them.

Room Tip: Check website because there is a travel alert about some construction that will be occuring in the f...

The main room or clubhouse at this timeshare is large but cozy, wonderfully decorated, and invites one to stay for hours to enjoy the amenities, such as free coffee and juice. Includes fitness center, pool table, library, free computer and printer use; fireplaces and sofas. It is very helpful to have this extra space because the units themselves are very small for a one-bedroom timeshare unit. GREAT hot tub with gentle, non-chemical-feeling water. Shuttle service to downtown, free. Very friendly staff. Decor of units FANTASTIC.

Drawbacks: Tiny kitchen which has no wall or counter to separate it from the living room. My husband, a professional furniture restorer, had to move the refrigerator so that the door could be opened enough to access the vegetable bin. Dining table blocked either the front door or the refrigerator. Couldn't find a place to store the kitchen trashcan until we rearranged the kitchen storage; it had been left between the refrigerator door and table making it impossible to sit or open the refrigerator door. Replacement of this table with leaves with a smaller table and TV trays would work better.

Definitely only a two-person occupancy, although there is technically bedding for more. No oven, only two burners. More of a place to microwave food you cooked at home before you came rather than cook on site.

No wifi anywhere on premises unless you're willing to pay hefty fees to AT&T. Couldn't upload vacation photos to Facebook -- oh no!

Luggage carts did not have hooks to hang loose bags, anything not flat-bottomed. They were shaky and difficult to maneuver, especially over the long sidewalk ramp with two sharp turns and uneven surface. We'll be talking to Mr. Kleeberg about solving this.

Very large complex; we kept getting lost.

Room Tip: Ask for one near the hot tub.

I stayed here for two nights. Very clean & if you like to cook, you have a kitchen to do so. Had a 1st floor room in the main building. I rather have a 2nd floor. The bed was super comfy, nice seating area. They have 24/7 tea/coffee in the lobby. Only downfall, the bathroom set up. I would have rather the toliet be in a seprate room like in Vegas hotels. The room was very clean & well stocked. I bought a Groupon deal & plan to stay here again withe the Living Social deal I bought.

The staff is super nice & helpful. The Plaza was an easy walk, but they offer a shuttle too.

Room Tip: Ask for a 2nd floor room

I loved Villas de Santa Fe, they are so accomadating and bend over backwards to help you. I requested to have 2 beds in my 1 br condo and they provided it. After I got it, my daughter still wouldn't sleep in the same room with me. lol They were so helpful in planning my days, great recommendations. The full kitchen was nicely stocked , even if I didn't use it for heavy cooking.

The unit was immaculate. The location was convenient to get to things easily & quickly. The shuttle was the best. I can't walk long distances so they took me where I needed to go & I called when I was ready to be picked up. A wonderful service.

The only negative I can say is it is hard to find the first time ( the signage was burned out).

Too much to do in that area but I sure tried.

Room Tip: Call ahead, if you need to be in a room near the elevator or need 2 beds in a 1br as they do have a...

We stayed here about 3 yrs ago, not realizing this was a partial time-share property. The room was older & falling apart a little, but still great for what we wanted. I'm told Bldng 2 & 3 are remodeled & that's the room we got this time. Way better experience! Super clean, spacious. Bdrm separate from lvng area/kitchen. New appliances incl. full fridge, dishwasher, pots & pans, etc. Lovely little balcony. Best part is we were only a 10 minute walk from the Plaza, 20 minutes from Canyon Rd. and shuttle service is free. They were booked solid, but it was very quiet. Staff mentioned you may not be able to get newer building if booking through Hotels.com or other travel sites, so recommend booking directly through Diamond Resorts, the company that owns Villas.

Room Tip: Ask for newly remodeled building 2 or 3. Balcony rooms and 2nd or 3rd floor seem like best option fo...

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your previous two stays here at The Villas de Santa Fe. We were glad to hear that your most recent stay far exceeded your experience from a stay 3 years ago. Our front desk staff will try their best to accommodate requests to be assigned a unit in our newer building, however where you book, be it one of our rental partners or Diamond Resort’s website, should not have too much of an effect on which room you assigned. We were glad to hear that you were able to take advantage of our shuttle services. Yes, because space is limited, we do advise our guests reserve their space with our shuttles at the front desk as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

The biggest plus is the one mile walk to downtown Santa Fe. We parked our car and only used it to explore the country side.

The rooms are older but fairly clean.

Couple of issues, no free wifi and one kitchen burner did not work (we like to cook meals as well).

Staff was friendly and knew about Santa Fe. Compared to the other more expensive places in Santa Fe, it was a good deal.

Room Tip: In the summer chose the rooms which face north for less in face sun and the opposite for winter.
