“heating/dirt issues”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

first room unacceptable, second room large, clean but no heat. No heat in entire Inn as "winter season over" but it was snowing and so cold out so Inn bought space heaters for the rooms. The entire décor was dirty, dusty dried plants hanging over the dirty and dusty pots.the entrance was dirty and uninviting. The rugs in the elevator and side entrances were so dirty it was creepy to walk on them. The paint going up the stairs was all chipped and dirty. I would not return to this hotel and cannot see how it is rated the way it is

Hotel was clean and is well located. However, parking an SUV is a huge problem. The hotel is putting in a new pool and parking is limited. We had to park our SUV around the corner because it was too big for the close in parking (a parking attendant showed us our spot) and the next morning when we went to leave, our car was boxed in. Took us a good 20 minutes of backing up, etc before we could get our car out. Not a good experience and one the hotel should have monitored more closely. In the hotel room, In order to close off the area where the sinks are one of the chairs has to be moved so you can close that door. Otherwise if you turn on the light in the sink area you will wake up anyone in the bedroom. I would go back to this hotel when the renovation is completed and would ask for a different type room. This room was small for three people.

We have been staying here for 10 years. Same friendly staff still here. This place is quaint and a great value. Some of the best burgers and nachos in town! The best is hot breakfast is included. Great green chili, cheese, scrambled eggs-Yummy!!!!

Room Tip: Try not to get near street-too noisy!!!

I booked the 4 night 50th anniversary package which turned out to be quite a deal.
4th night was $50.00 and was donated to a local charity. It also included parking, full
breakfast, and a $15.00 credit in Del Charro Pub. Our room had a kiva fireplace which
was wonderful at night when the air got chilly. The room was decorated nicely with local
southwest art . The bathroom was on the small side, which was the only downside that I could find. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We loved the Saturday farmers market just a few blocks away as well as the capitol building
loaded with all kinds of art-all free to the public. This was the best location as we could walk everywhere, with the exception of the museums (which we had already seen). Del Charro had the best burgers and margaritas, but the late evening service was alittle slow. All in all this was a great place to stay~

You can spend a lot of money for a hotel in Santa Fe--which we have done--but not get any better accommodations than this one. We have been here 5 times and have enjoyed all of them. The best bet is to get the king sized bed with the fireplace. Many people use the fireplaces to warm up the rooms. The staff supplies the logs in the hall.

The bar is one of the the most active ones in all Santa Fe--it seems to always have very friendly crowd. The prices are very reasonable and the bar food is excellent.

This is a real value hotel because it has free downtown parking, USA Today, $15 bar coupon daily, fast wifi, great breakfast (it is always the same, but then, it is breakfast), and sherry in the afternoon.

The staff is reasonably friendly, but needs to say "hello" when they pass guests in the hall! The lobby is a little dark, but how much time do you spend there? There is too much to do in the city and this hotel is in the heart of it!

Room Tip: Avoid the small rooms with two double beds--try to stay off the street sides, if possible.

You will be hard pressed to find a better hotel in Santa Fe due to its proximity to attractions, restaurants and being a outstanding hotel. The offer a wonderful free breakfast in the morning that beats every hotel breakfast I have ever been to. They also have a wonderful cheese and wine service that they do in the afternoon. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and when my better half and I come back to Santa Fe, we will always stay here. The front desk staff was also very helpful in all of our questions regarding places to eat and sites to see.

Room Tip: The best tip is to make this your place to stay

The service was very friendly and the room was clean. I was concerned about our rooms in the back and off the street at first, but it was very quiet. The breakfast offered a lot of variety and it was a very pleasant stay.
