“GREAT PLACE - WHAT A GOOD DEAL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Nice, clean, attractive rooms... We got free parking close to our room, a great morning breakfast with fresh fruits, juices, eggs, meats, breads, etc like you would get at a 4 -5 star hotel.. We also got a $25 credit everyday for their restaurant or bar. Nice people, very accomodating . You won't be sorry if you stay here. We certainly will stay here the next time we visit Santa Fe.

My husband and I stayed last weekend with my parents who had come from out of state. It took us a while to find the place because unfortunately we used their directions (provided on their web site). I don't know who wrote them, but the directions were awful. We ended up finding the hotel on our own - we're from Albuquerque, so we know the general area. The room is very nice, very clean and beautifully decorated. They give you a $25 dollar credit per room for their bar and we found it wasn't worth it. My husband and parents ordered draft beers which never came. No one ever came back to explain why either. We had to ask when someone else finally brought the food we ordered. They just said the keg wasn't working. No apologies, no coming over sooner, they just ditched us. The food is just ok - don't eat here and think it's dinner. The burgers were very dry and honestly it's just bad bar food - with no beer. No beer? It's a bar - what the heck is wrong with them! After driving around Santa Fe trying to follow their poorly written directions, and then the experience at the bar, they lost their chance with us. Poor service and they didn't give a crap. Never again.

The hotel is located in the town center, excellent location. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The morning breakast, was the best I have had on my ten-twenty trips to SantaFe.

I will stay here again!

This was our third stay and we will stay there when we next visit Santa Fe.

The location is great and the staff is very nice. Be sure to get a room with a kiva fireplace for a complete southwest experience.

We stayed at this hotel in august 2012 two separate times and we wanted t return to the same room or nearby b/c it was quiet and exactly right for us within a busy tourist season. Believe it or not, the hotel made it a point to keep that room for us when we returned a week later!
Buffet breakfast here was large and multitudinous. Desk people were always there and very helpful.

Room Tip: Get a room near the parking area off the main street.

This is a clean motel with a decent breakfast. The beds are comfortable and there is a newer flat screen TV. The motel is within walking distance of the main square. There is a good bar right next door that I think is associated with the motel.

On our fifth trip to Santa Fe, we decided to not stay at a condo, opting instead to try hotel living. My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Inn of the Governors. We had good expectations, however, reality far exceeded those. Our room was beautiful, clean, and tastefully decorated. The pool area was lovely, and we have some wonderful memories of sitting poolside while we enjoyed our sherry hour each afternoon. The breakfasts that were included in our stay were delicious and far better than breakfasts we have had in other inns. Also included in our stay was a daily voucher for $25 per day to be used at the inn's restaurant, El Charro. Once more, we were bowled over by the wonderful food and generous and delicious margaritas served there. The hotel staff was courteous and ever so helpful in all ways, including making reservations for dinner at local restaurants. The inn's location is a short walk to the plaza and very close to one of our favorite eateries, Pascuals. Everything about our stay was so pleasant that we have decided to return to the inn on our next visit to the land of enhantment.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room at the corner of the wing directly across from the main entrance to the inn. Th...
