My husband and I were first-time visitors to Santa Fe and had no idea of what to expect. The Inn on the Paseo was a terrifically comfortable and convenient place to say - we had a great room (#1) that included a spa tub, sitting area and very comfortable bed. It was an easy 3-5 block walk to the Plaza, breakfast was light and filling (waffles, rolls, fresh fruit, etc), and the staff was friendly and relaxed. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet and restful place to stay in Santa Fe. Reasonable rates. Free parking also a plus.

The service and location at the Inn on the Paseo were great. The continental breakfast was very nice and provided alot to choose from. Coffee and cookies were available in the afternoon, but drinking water was no where to be found. The room was a good size, I thought. The bed took up most of it, which is fine. The bed was big and comfortable, but you may need to have a step stool to get into the bed if you are petite or elderly. The walls were not freshly painted and had marks on them with some molding missing. The bathroom was ok, except the floor. The floor seemed unfinished along with the molding, but the toliet and sink seemed new. There is also parking in the back of the building which was a nice benefit as I thought the streets were tight with no available parking.

My colleague and I were in Santa Fe on business, and I picked this hotel for its location and convenient parking. We were both totally delighted with our rooms and the overall ambiance of the place, which is much more like a bed and breakfast than an impersonal hotel. The beds were SUPER comfortable, and we loved the home made cookies in the afternoon and the nice lounge and lobby with fireplaces. Due to the configuration of the inn (which was previously three houses), the rooms do vary in size, so if you need more space for luggage etc. just let the staff know and they will do their best to accommodate you in comfort. I have stayed in countless hotels and motels both in the US and overseas, but staying in the Inn on the Paseo was a truly special experience. I would not hesitate to recommend the Inn. Excellent value for money.

I stayed at the Inn with my seven year old daughter for part of her spring break. The location cannot be beat! There are numerous museums, historic churches, fabulous restaurants and shopping in easy walking distance. We did not use the car once the whole stay. Our room, #13, was charming and cozy. The bed took up much of the space, so it is not a great place to stay if you intend to spend a lot of time in the room. The mattress was very comfortable; the temperature was pleasant; the room was clean, sunny, and cheerful during the day and quiet at night. Just outside of the room is a comfortable sitting area with comprehensive restaurant guides and a quaint fireplace. The staff was warm and friendly; however, you could only find somebody in the lobby early in the morning. As other reviewers have mentioned, the breakfast is just okay. If you stayed more than a couple of days, you would want to eat elsewhere. There were a variety of other guests at the Inn including younger couples, older couples, and singles -- a testament to the universal appeal of the Inn's charms. While the Inn does not have the amenities of a larger hotel (fitness center, spa, restaurant, etc.), they are affiliated with a larger hotel nearby that does offer those things.
