Under new ownership, the Inn on the Paseo is a great place to stay in Santa Fe in all respects:

1. Great Location: at walking distance to the plaza
2. Perfect size: in between a B&B and a hotel
3. Amenities: comfortable, well-appointed rooms, delicious homemade breakfasts, afternoon tea and private parking.

And above all, a friendly, relaxed family atmosphere with very helpful staff/owners.

We'll definitely stay there on our next trip to Santa Fe.

It's always like coming to my "home away from home" when I stay at the Inn on the Paseo. I was there the first year the new owners managed this, three years ago, and have enjoyed each stay since. It's so close to the Plaza! An easy walk in the morning to hear chamber music rehearsals at the St. Francis Auditorium in the museum - free and open to visitors during that festival. And an easy ride to the opera, just around the Paseo de Peralta loop to that highway.

The breakfasts are so delicious, with a different treat each morning of my week-long stay. And more than that, the friendliness of guests and hosts makes this more like a stay with friends.

My room this year was quiet, quite roomy for one person, and the guests were such an interesting, international group! I enjoyed breakfast with a couple from Milan, evening glass of wine with a couple from the Dordogne in France, another breakfast with a young woman entrepreneur, just starting a business in Santa Fe, from India. And other meals, bonding over our opera experiences, were with a just retired man from Kansas, a couple from Memphis, and New Yorkers. This B&B does attract guests from everywhere.

It's one of the most convenient and welcoming B&B's in Santa Fe.

Room Tip: Rooms on the "garden" (lower) level are especially quiet. On other levels, the views are...

Ambience, food, location, everything is great! The proprietors are great hosts. The Inn is in walking distance of the Plaza and Canyon Road, and other interesting places. We felt so at home there. I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: We had Room 1-- a cozy little nook with a separate sitting/reading area.

We stayed here just for one night, arriving late, but communication was great and the hosts were still there to greet us. The look and feel of the property was perfect, cozy and warm and welcoming. We hired the 2 bedroom suite which was perfect. The other guests staying there looked happy too which is a good sign.
The breakfast is prepared on site with home made pancake and fruit compote which was delicious. We tried to stay an extra night but had unfortunately got a tight schedule to keep to.
Only downside is it's on a busy road, but there is parking at the rear of the property.
Highly recommended!

Room Tip: If there's more than two of you stay in the downstairs room, it has a separate access route!

I was in Santa Fe to attend a conference at the Convention Center. I wanted to avoid the large hotel recommended by the conference organizers, while still being convenient to the meeting site. Check in was a breeze despite our late arrival, I walked to and from my meeting every day.
The Inn was on a busy street, yet our room was very quiet. I never heard street noises. I had to be at my meetings by 7 am most mornings and did not experience the delicious breakfasts as reported by my husband. Bed was very comfortable, and we slept with window open every night.
Cookies or pastry choices every night, with gourmet coffee and teas available any time made this feel like a home away from here.
I recommend highly. Excellent for the price.

The Inn is very easy walking distance to the Plaza & other shops on the Paseo de Peralta. They offer extra amenities like use of a frig & microwave if you bring back leftovers from dinner out, & plenty of wine & champagne glasses if you happen to pick up a bottle of wine while shopping. They also have a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of K-cups & a selection of tea bags & hot water if you want a cup during the day after breakfast has been served.
Speaking of breakfast, each day (we stayed 3 nights) was a different cuisine, including Italian & Mexican. There were plenty of healthy fruit combos, & heartier dishes for any type of eater. We even got to try new creations! (which were very good)
The owners were great - very accommodating.
Our room was nicely appointed with everything we needed. The only negative was that it had a stale smell, which could have been attributed to the monsoon storms every afternoon.
We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Room #3 had access to the back patio without going through the main dining area. Rooms on the lower...
