“El Paradero Bed and Breakfast Inn is a "real find"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

El Paradero Bed and Breakfast Inn is "5 Star" in my book.

We stayed there for 4 nights and found the breakfasts to be superb. The 4:00 pm tea and desserts were great. The Inn Keeper and her manager were so helpful when we asked for directions and guidance. They know Santa Fe and the surrounding area.

The room decor is fun and in keeping with the local culture. The B&B has off-street parking, is within 10-15 minute walking distance to the Plaza and very close (2 minute walk) to many good restaurants. It is cozy and the cleanliness is satisfactory-to-good.

We would stay there without question on our next trip.

Room Tip: Rooms 2 or 7 are great.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights during the week. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with own fireplace. Great breakfasts, afternoon tea and goodies. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to go. Quiet neighborhood, good parking in rear of building. The colorfully painted and decorated rooms were lovely. And thrilled they use Fiesta ware dishes as that is exactly what we have in lots of the same colors. Very cool!

Room Tip: We stayed in room at the back of main building. Private bathroom in the room a real plus and easy ac...

Adorable old building renovated with beautiful Mexican ceramics. So much character. Welcoming staff, good breakfast and close to all the action in Santa Fe. What more could you ask??? If you're travelling and need to bring all your gear in to sort out I recommend the 2 rooms at the rear which are right next to the car park on ground floor. Easy!!

This is a great B and B. Such charm and ambience! Its not uncommon to see clients wondering around taking photos. We had a great stay for a week and never had the same breakfast twice. This B and B is more like a cosy inn. With a staff that keep things extremely clean and well stocked. The same lady takes your breakfast order and cooks for you every morning. The bake goods in the afternoon are wonderful, usually with 3 or 4 choices. There is a cookbook available for $18 with the receipes for breakfasts and tea bake goods.
There is always access to tea, coffee and hot chocolate. After hours there is always a jar of homemade cookies, which were always a welcome site at the end of a long day.
The location is close to everything and we felt quite safe with our family walking on the streets after hours.
Highly recommend room 12 for a family. Comfortably sleeps 4 and has a sitting area and a fridge. the bathroom is quite large and there is a small balcony, just large enough for the parents to sit outside with a glass for wine, with the kids watching TV inside!
There is a 'Whole Foods' just South of the B and B, and is a great place to pick up sandwiches, wine etc, for our hiking and biking ventures. La Choza Resturant is nearby and is great food at reasonable prices for families with children and picky eaters!
They have a very friendly dog Wizard that you may see occasionlly which our daughter fell in love with! The courtyard by the dining area is a lovely spot to enjoy your afternoon tea. For breakfast try to get the table by the fireplace at least once, just for the ambience if nothing else!
The wifi wasn't great in room 12, but there is a computer in the library that works really well with a printer. The main room has lots of fun art and they have a whole cupboard of games. There is a whole rack of pamphlets on where to go and things to do in the library as well as a wall of books and wall B and W prints for sale. Highly recommend for couples, a girls retreat and families with children older than 6.
We'll be back!

My husband and I recently stayed in the Ortiz Suite (located along with another suite, in a small building very near the main building) for five nights. It was beautifully decorated in southwest decor, had a little fireplace, separate bedroom, small built-in kitchenette, and its own back porch and patio area. It was very quiet at night. The people were so helpful and friendly, and the hot breakfasts were very tasty. We didn't spend much time in the main building except for breakfast, and tea occasionally, but there was also a library and living room for guests to use. Next time we are in Santa Fe, we will be staying here again. Thanks to everyone at El Paradero!

The accommodations were outstanding, extremely dog friendly. The breakfast was outstanding and the afternoon snacks very tasty. The location is ideal and walking distance from the plaza. People were friendly and helpful with sites, walking suggestions for dogs, markets, etc...Highly recommend.

Very comfortable accomadations, great breakfasts, very friendly staff. Close to the plaza and shopping; we walked everywhere we went from the B&B. Definitely would stay there again.

Room Tip: Room 6 is beautiful, quiet, and has a very efficient wood burning fireplace.
