“Should be on your list”

This is a fairly new restaurant. The interior is somewhat of a mish mash of bistro with fifties Americana. The setting is somewhat close but conversation is easy and you never get the feeling that you are intruding on another table. The food is creative and well prepared and the wine list is short but very appropriate for the cuisine. Service is professional and knowledgeable without being overly cloying. This is worth a visit.

“Tres Bien Bistro!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

Great French bistro on a par with Bistro Jeanty and Vouchon in Napa Valley. Nice inside/outside casual atmosphere with banquettes and mirrors inside blending with abstract art panels. Real French bistro food. Excellent terrine of foie gras and long-split marrow bone to start, followed by excellent short-rib pot au feu styled with great horseradish cream on the side, peeled outside leaves of brussel sprouts. A tasty hand cut hashe styled steak tartare. Great black truffle and gruyere topped mac and cheese! One of the best we have had. Simple excellence. Nice reasonable wine list. Best of all was the terrific amiable and fully professional service by Ian, who obviously enjoys what he does in knowing the menu, being positively helpful, and making you feel like the special evening you feel by being there. Great place! A short walk from the Eldorado. Highly recommend.

“Paris gem in Santa Fe new Mexico”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

We enjoyed our elegant dining experience and loved the atmosphere. It definitely made us feel like we were in Paris. The food was wonderful and the service was very impeccable.

The chef came over to our table to greet us and spoke to us about the restaurant a bit. We could not get a taxi back to our hotel because it started raining so the the Maitre d' drove us to our hotel. Talk about service!

“Bon appetite ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

My wife and I were staying across the street and by chance ate here. Wonderful food, light, delicious, combines best of French and American to perfection. We had the Caesar salad with the most wonderful soft croutons, grilled octopus with a warm hummus, mussels, and a lemon tart. Fantastique!

“great new restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

finally was able to sample the "new" fare. came early on a friday evening. had the place virtually to ourselves. thought the transformation of the dinning room and outdoor space to a bistro setting was well done. more informal and a bit cheek to jowl, but that is the bistro style. menu was a nice surprise with many items calling out to me to try. settled on the potato leek soup and a 4 oz portion of sweetbreads with mushrooms and artichokes. both were divine. the soup with crab was warm and delicious. the sweetbreads were just crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. a cesar to finish was the only flat note, the greens were mostly the pale tougher inner foliage and the dressing too lemony for my taste. hooray for the anchovies on the side. the chef owner paid us a visit. a nice touch. looking forward to a return visit to try other items which caught my eye
