Well, while it is always interesting to read the "terrible" and "poor" reviews, they often relate to things other than the food (poor service, etc.) or things like forgotten parts of a meal, etc.
However, I've been to the Thai Cafe on and off for some years - though mostly for lunch - but I had dinner alone a week or so ago, and then went back yesterday for dinner with a friend.
Firstly, while it was a Monday night, the place was packed!!! That was nice to see.
Secondly, I can only say that we had excellent service from a delightful wait-person. (Now if I were writing this in French, the language would have immediately indicated her gender....!)
The food: generally EXCELLENT! We each had a "cup" - small - of Tom Ga Kai soup. Then shared a "what-do-you-call-them?" pork-on-sticks with peanut sauce. After than, I had a Pad Prik King with chicken - very nicely presented and very tasty. (Meanwhile, people kept pouring in.....) My friend had a curry (can't remember which one). Again - excellent.
One good thing to know if you're a Santa Fean (as I am) and/or haven't come here for a while: they've installed a double door system, so that cold, cold winds don't blow in between the curtains they used to have in place inside the main door every time someone came in. A vast improvement!!
PS: We sat at the world map table. People from all over the world have been here and put a pin in the map for their hometown!
